Oh yeah because sending a batch file is completely illegal. All it said was hi....
lool this kid would give me negative rep
There is no way in hell you would loose in court for this case. I support you and i hope you win.
Wow, this happened to me once. I got my school IT's password and remote desktop to her computer and copied all of her files which were mainly random documents. And I was suspended and the principal said they might press charges because she had all of her bank info on the computer.

my friend wanted to update Source SDK for his game design class, but needed ports forwarded. the admin didnt know how to forward ports.

in the schools eyes it is. what my school was saying was that they only wanted to send me the message that if i did this at Uni or at my workplace i would be in jail. which is bull because at one of those places they have people that arnt microsoft word professional certificate dropouts, and would see there is nothing bad.
You win the court case and then sue them right after it for false accusation.

This is what is known as "bull shit."

In my defense she was acting like she knew everything. It was a stupid thing to do I admit but it had to be done.
Oh yeah, my cousin's friend was sent to alternative school because he hacked something, I'm not really sure though..
Lol I test my RAT on my school servers using a remote desktop connection to exeucte the client. They don't even know. I pretty much have my school in my hands. But yh I'd love to be in your position and go to court for it.
A similar thing happened to me with batch. Harmless file was turned into something malicious. School techs are just generally lying douche bags because we are a threat to their network and jobs. 'Cept mine got me a full page newspaper story with no trouble ;D
