Crack Md5(unix)32/32 | 64/64 and DES 32/32 | DES 64/64 Using John the ripper

After You downloaded JTR
Extract The john171w.zip and move the output to your C partition
its gonna look like this

C:\john171

now extract the worldlist and move the output to

C:\john171\run

now go back to

C:\john171\run

and make a new text file called (12345.txt)
now you have

C:\john171\run\12345.txt

The MD5(unix) hashes look like this

root:$1$7D5zUCJM$pnkUoKqzGcf0J3EKca9uP1

this is the hash ($1$7D5zUCJM$pnkUoKqzGcf0J3EKca9uP1)

and this is the user name (root)

now put this in the 12345.txt file like this

start --> run ---> cmd

12345.txt the hashes file

if you successfully cracked the hash then
the output gonna look like this
(user)(password)

also you can go to C:\john\run and open the john.pot
there you'll find all the cracked hashes

now for DES hashes
2 things you have to change
when you put the hash in the 12345.txt it should look like this
root:zWwxIh15Q

the user (root)
The Hash (zWwxIh15Q)
