✦Guide: Custom GUI's✦

.Astro · Jun 13, 2011 09:04 PM

This is just a quick directory of all the custom made themes found on this forum. It also includes DotNetBar, and other applications like it.

How to Install the Themes
1.) Create or open an existing VB application.
2.) Add a new class to your project.
3.) Replace all of the code inside the new document with the appropriate code.
4.) Build your project; if you don't build the controls they won't be in your toolbox.
5.) Drag n' drop!
Credits to AeonHack for the small tutorial.

DotNetBar
DotNetBar is a Visual Studios component that allows you to customize your form the way you want it with their given components. You can use themes such as the ones presented in Microsoft Word 2010, and other programs like it.
Is this software paid? Yes, it is paid. However there are cracks for it. But I will not go in full detail about that.
Is it easy to use? Yes, and no. It depends on how well you can found things out on your own, but there are TONS of tutorials on Google for this.
You can download a trial version of DotNetBar here.

You should use [img ][ /img] tags for the pics. 😝

.Astro · Jun 13, 2011 09:06 PM

It won't let me since there is more than 10 images on the post.

Thanks for this list, I won't use this, but appreciate you contributing :)

To be honest, I probably won't use it either, but it's always a nifty resource to have around.
And thanks for the comment.

Nice list. Glad to see my themes up there too. :)

Thanks for the comment, Hydrogen.~

Yeah , thanks I need to have all themes in just one thread!! , I want to add that is funny that all themes are based on AeonHack Whatever haha

.Astro · Jun 13, 2011 10:27 PM

I don't see how that's funny .. ?
From what I know of, AeonHack is one of the only people who knew how to design GUI's in GDI.
Until he made that Youtube video, everyone has mostly been changing colors, etc.
And by the way, a majority of them are, not all of them.

He already explained why he didn't do that.
There is of a max of 10 Pictures in 1 post.
So he couldn't do that ^^

.Astro · Jun 14, 2011 03:52 AM

Yeah, as said above, there is a max limit of how many images can be in a post.
