Openvpn.......Alien install and .rpm?

I am trying to set up ubuntu for the OpenVPN. For Linux it requires .rpm set up SO....

I installed alien 8.81 through command prompt and it installed fine. Got this:

The following NEW packages will be installed:
alien
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 85.7kB of archives.
After this operation, 250kB of additional disk space will be used.
Get:1 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main alien all 8.81 [85.7kB]
Fetched 85.7kB in 1s (50.0kB/s)
Selecting previously deselected package alien.
(Reading database ... 162179 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking alien (from .../archives/alien_8.81_all.deb) ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
Setting up alien (8.81) ...

Am I good to go I am I missing a step to get the .rpm?

I am new to this and am in brain/linux/python/hack overload....... -h?

Thanks,
J

Ubuntu has packages for openvpn. You can install it with apt-get, or grab a deb file from packages.ubuntu.com. The former method is better, as any dependencies will also be installed.
Thank you.

I needed to spend an hour in the command prompt anyway!
