How to launch a Slowloris attack on Windows ~ by SpriteZ

Note: If you're one of those idiots who think "z0mg u n33d sh3ll b00ter or b0tnet this no work!!" then you might aswell leave now.

1. Alright, first of all you're going to want to download download Perl. You can find it HERE. After the download's done, go ahead and install it.

2. Second, download the Slowloris script. Paste it in notepad and save it as "slowloris.pl" (case sensitive).

3. Navigate to the directory perl was installed (default C:\strawberry\) and go to C:\strawberry\perl\bin. Copy the slowloris.pl script into there.

4. Open up command prompt (cmd) and type "cd C:\strawberry\perl\bin".

5. You're now ready to launch the attack. Here's the format in which you'd launch an attack in:

perl.exe slowloris.pl -dns www.yourwebsite.com

Note: This is best used against Apache servers. A single connection is able to temporarily shut down a website for as long as you keep the command prompt open.

dude no 1 dos won't take down a home connection if u had like 50-100 slaves then u would be abble to maybe boot ur victim and if u had something like maybe a 200+ u would be able to hold a ddos against ur victim

NOTE: its VERY HARD using ur connection to take down a connection unless u use a exploit that's not using ur bandwidth to attack

This can't take home connections down, it's a vulnerability in apache servers aswell as some others. It uses close to no bandwidth so it's very effective.

OT: Nice tutorial SpriteZ. You did a good job on this - although you on your own probably wouldn't hold anything other than a very small site down for long. If you shelled a few sites then it'd probably work a lot better.

Thanks. As long as the site isn't running multiple apache servers then this could take down most sites running version 1.X.X/2.X.X, though I've still taken down sites with 4+ servers.

First of all type:

Then press ENTER.

Then you type:

The link you posted has other things than the script only. In what program shall I be saving this?

The whole thing is the script ;). Just press CTRL + A then CTRL + C to copy all of it, then CTRL + V to paste it. That's if you're running windows.
