>>>>[RELEASE] Omega Browser v0.2 Pre-Alpha - Best VB.NET Browser<<<<

Hey Guys,

It's been over a month since I last released a version of Omega Browser - and I regret to inform you that nothing spectacular has changed - but I do feel that some of the new features deserve a new release. The most prominent new features are:

-Advert blocking (using Privoxy. Took me bloody ages to hide the NotifyIcon for Privoxy on the bottom right whilst keeping the program open. I've finally done it though).
-Anti Phishing using Web of Trust.
-Webpage & Text Zooming.
-UI changed quite significantly.

Other new Features:
-Save webpage as well as supprting files - meaning that the page can be viewed offline with CSS and Image included
-Printing

Fixes:
-Much more stable & less crashes
-Rendering engine updated

Partially implemented:
-Document inspector (right click & go "Inspect Element" anywhere on a webpage to see progress).

Here's a new YouTube video (watch in 720p!):

And the older one (watch first if you're new to Omega)

Please give me feature suggestions, or just tell me what you think of it! Thanks!

EDIT: Does not work if you do not have Aero Glass enabled (smasher's error). Should have mentioned this before. Sorry guys, this will change in the future.
I put your other version on a USB so I can use it at school, thank you for making it :3

Lucky ur school doesn't check imported files...
Well I'll continue developing it for a long while into the future - I've been working on webbrowsers ever since I started VB, along with other stuff, even if people say that they're for Skids...

Edit: My school checks imported files too (so no exes from USBs or the web cos of UAC) but I just boot from Ubuntu Live, import the Windows registry & disable UAC. Problem solved.

My school's computer technician thinks he is really smart. When in reality, he is used to computers under Windows NT. LOL.
One question - do you use this browser in place of the major browsers? :3

It works for my windows 7 though.

Well, I plan for it to be comparable to some of the other browsers out there. It's probably true that I'll never get as big a user base as any of them, and I'll probably never get an addon framework as good as mainstream browsers. Nonetheless, I intend for Omega to be viable to replace other browsers in the future at some point.

Works fine, looks awesome! Good job Jack Eagles! :)
Just wondering if anyone's got any feature requests/ideas? Thanks :)
I don't think this is a huge feature, but can you make changeable homepage? :)
for now, i can't see where i can change homepage.
Note the Pre-Alpha in the title. That means that I'm still developing features and that some basic stuff is not here yet.
You should add a feature like this

Btw, this is in dutch. It says, press tab to search video's on youtube

lensert.com is the new screenshot utility, try it out now!
OSX & WINDOWS

I've thought about adding that before. It would be very difficult, but by no means impossible. I might give it a go in the next Alpha or the one after that.
