Its similar to cross posting but its not cross posting.

The suggestion is to add a new/bring back the old reason for reporting "Double posting".

It would be easier to report posts like this.

Now when i see a post similar to the pic above i get confused on how to report it and always get stuck between "other" and "cross posting".

DOUBLE POSTING IS NOT SIMILAR TO CROSS POSTING because:

Double Post: A post made twice or more without it being separated by 24 hours or another post.

Cross Posting: A thread posted twice or more

What do you guys think about this suggestion.

P.S: The reason why this is wrong because they can use the edit button and this will give them an easy extra post count.

The double-posting report option was there before but it was removed. I am sure there is a valid reason as to why. Most likely members were sending in false reports using that reason.

I don't see why the post provided in the screenshot is wrong? He responds to 2 quotes in 1 posts, this happens a lot and is allowed. One of the main functions of the [*hr] system. You can report double posts as cross posting, the staff member will understand what you mean.

What's the problem with the post in PIC, maybe someone forget to reply to a post, then he reply to the later post much faster and he gets his 2 posts combined. or maybe if a person is running a thread in Market Place this will happen there more than anywhere

I'm sure where this takes place alot, but recently i've seen alot of double posting earlier this week, thats why i came up with this suggestion.

Yes your right. It use to be in the reporting section and it got removed, but we need the option back since double posts are increasing

I am almost positive this is allowed, actually I think it's encouraged. It keeps down on the spam that way.

Do NOT report posts that were separated by the [ hr] tag (the line). They do not break any rules at all.
