It very nice, though i feel like you just added the two planets to that background. And its really not abstract.

Well, the planets are made from the bottom, and there are brushes etc... you can get the psd if you wish

Kind of... Abstract(art) is a functional object that is distorted or seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, and forms.
IMO these planets look regular(ish) You did a great job don't get me wrong, i just lack to see the Abstract part. =]

though, the nebula around it is abstract, since that is bend from light ^^
