I use eset smart security 5. It is just the trial for now and i like it. One thing is the firewall is so strict. It doesn't let me download certain things I have to disable it sometime to download blizzard clients. I have completely turned it off and am now using comodo. Price doesn't matter but I am thinking of getting buying nod32 instead of smart security and just using comodo. Is that a good combo? I know microsoft firewall is ok but comodo seems nice. What do you guys use?

Secunia PSI, System explorer portable, and I scan with Malwarebytes. If i need an anti-virus, Kaspersky Internet Security. Also, don't be stupid, learn how to analysis .exe's and VMware is your friend.

I use VMWare all the time but sometimes I can be real nooby. I usally/try to check all links before I click and use VMware to download 99 percent of things but sometimes I just need an AV.
Also do you suggest comodo firewall?
I have used it in the past, it has caused some real problems for me when i used it 2 years ago. Not sure how it is now, but in my opinion its not needed, just have one anti virus, malwarebytes, keep your programs updated and be smart.

I would suggest you to continue with Comodo Firewall itself. Comodo Firewall is the best choice for users seeking a full featured security suite. Comodo Firewall Pro introduces the next evolution in computer security: Default Deny Protection (DDP).Its a Unrestricted freeware runs as a stand-alone program on a user's computer.Comodo includes a "memory firewall" (against buffer overflow attacks). It maintains a lengthy list of known safe applications, but if an unknown application attempts entry through the firewall, Comodo will deny the application and ask the user what to do.Comodo limits the frequency of alerts by automatically treating some programs as safe and allowing some applications to access the Internet

Had no idea thanks dude! Would you recommend eset smart security 5? I uninstalled it today because it was blocking everything. I was trying to open YouTube bots and it would block it without telling me. I have notifications on. It wasn't under network connections only running processes. Would nod32 the one without the firewall not block my YouTube bots/programs from opening?
Thanks!
You said you uninstalled you eset smart security because it was blocking everything...not sure what your going to go with now nod32 or eset but if you find it blocking everything you could use a sandbox to run your browser in if your going to lower your security settings like you said..so it wont matter then if you download a virus or whatever because it'll be stuck in a sandbox then you can just delete the sandbox...I use Kaspersky pure, and if I go to any potentially dodgy sites I just run them in a sandbox :) Sanboxie.com offers a free one, have a nose a youtube videos off it.. sorry if you already heard/use it but thought it maybe worth mentioning as you were lowering/temporally disabling your firewall

Open a YouTube bit and it would say no Internet connection. I uninstalled it and went to nod32 with windows firewall on and it worked perfect. Even my world of Warcraft downloaded would be blocked. Nod32 has no problems. And if I want to visit a fishy site I open up my vm and just go download it carelessly.
Norton 360 + Comodo Firewall + Panda Cloud + MBAM live protection
Things can be mismatched depending on computer speed. I have a couple more that are ideal for maximum protection, but I can't think of them atm (and can't check since I'm on Linux)

You could have viruses right now. Unlikely since Linux viruses are harder to get. Running 2 anti viruses makes the detection rate lower. Norton doesn't do anything. It is really there for show. Panda is ok. I would say run esetnod32 or if you want a firewall too run eset smart security 5 it works in Linux. Also mbam live is great!
