Hello everyone, I'm posting today to bring up an unfortunate topic within the realm of the GM.
This is regarding the same member as last time, Sai
Many of you have likely seen our other thread: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2353862
If you haven't read that, I'd suggest reading it now.
Just so you all know, I realize Omni's position on the issue. The purpose of this thread is to not try to get him officially removed, it is to make sure the group remains inactive until Sai gives up his position.
I'd like to make the corruption present in the GM leadership to full perspective now. During the "revolution" that was my previous thread, tons of people showed their support for our cause. The group wanted Sai gone, I wanted Sai gone, and many external members wanted it as well.
But it was not so simple. Sai kept telling us that he, 'never got a chance' and he 'needed some time'. It was apparent that the argument was approaching a standstill. I decided, with the help of Buzz Lightyear, that it would be best to give Sai what he wanted: A Trial Period.
So that's what I did. To remove all doubts cast among who should be the owner, we gave him a two week trial period. Here are the Skype logs:
[3/31/2012 11:13:33 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: Sure. If you can reach significant progress in two weeks
[3/31/2012 11:13:37 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: I'll say I was wrong.
[3/31/2012 11:17:45 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: If you agree to honor the groups decision
[3/31/2012 11:17:48 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: in 2 weeks.
[3/31/2012 11:19:38 PM] Sai: huh?
[3/31/2012 11:20:02 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: In two weeks, the group will decide what is best from here on.
[3/31/2012 11:20:18 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: I will honor my end if you honor yours.
[3/31/2012 11:20:37 PM] Sai: Okay
[3/31/2012 11:21:42 PM] Alex [Rhythm]: Alright.
This was the arrangement. I closed "The Hostile Takeover" thread, removed everything about the issue from my profile, and gave Sai two weeks with the group. Buzz Lightyear had said "Roughly" two weeks however, so I was liberal and gave him 17 days. I came back to make the group poll on if he should remain owner, and this was the result:
[img]http://screensnapr.com/e/HgLyjM.png[/img]
The poll was clearly in favor of Sai's removal (at that point at least, without my vote at all). Unfortunately, we'll never know 100% because Sai once again broke his promise.
He closed my thread, and created one of his own where he stated:
"I am the official owner of GM and will be the official owner."
Sai is as untrustworthy as it gets. He's broken every promise he's made to me, he removed me from the group altogether (Had to get C4V to reinvite me), his events and tournaments have yielded no result, and despite the group wanting him gone, he refuses to cede his position.
This is totalitarianism at it's best. Let's show the tyrant what it means to be a community. We are a group, and we are responsible for it's functioning. By failing to accept the will of the Graphic Masters group, we've determined the group is no longer the Graphic Masters. As a result, me and the majority of the group will now leave. The only way to stop this madness is to cut off the source.
I call upon you now to (once and for all):
-Leave the group if you are a member
-Wear our signature in protest
-DO NOT apply for the group
-DO NOT be a part of the group's events
-Spread the word as best you can.
This can ONLY work if EVERYBODY helps. Spread the word, make the situation known. Do not apply, do not participate, do not support the group in any way.
Signature:
There is no excuse now. He has NOT helped the group, he has NOT accepted the groups will, He has LIED compulsively, He has BROKEN promises that should not be broken. There is no other side to this story now, there is only a hunger for power. Do the right thing, help justice prevail.
