Malware Removal Team (MRT) will forever live on.

One of the Original Three:
Brandenx781
Deltron
RDCA
Go for Comodo Antivirus which is very good in safeguarding your pc from al kinds of attacks.
Personally I use Avira Free AV & Malwarebytes for virus scanning, and ZoneAlarm Firewall.
Firewall:

Comodo's Firewall

AntiVirus

ESET Smart Security

Backup Scanners

1. SuperAntiSpyware
2. Malwaresbytes

Most Important

Use your brain.

That's a setup whitch i recommend.
I use Avira Internet Security for antivirus and firewall and I also use malwarebytes and sandboxie and obvcourse a virual machine.
I'm using Avast free version, Malwarebytes paid version (Got serial key from internet. Very easy.)
You dont even need AV if you dont download shit like me :)
I Recommends avast free and anti-malware
There's no best setup.

There are some things you should keep in mind and you're redy to go.

*Don't download and run files from unknown sources.
*Use a basic free antivirus like avg at the least.
*Free firewalls will add to your security.
*Don't trust anyone on the internet.
