It means it can't connect to the database, did you sue the details from phpmyadmin? and are you sure you have a database for it?

im not sure, i think i set it up incorrectly. could you give me a few ways to fix it?

Well try use the database details IE:

in the config file it would have

mysql_connect('localhost','db_user','pssword');
mysql_query('SELECT * FROM database_name.table_name');

you would replace those values with your database details IE:

Mydatabase
myuser
mypassword
localhost
