Trend is relatively no-name, by this I mean it is not among the top 15 most popular. I only trust the top 12 - 15 because they have the most revenue which would turn mean more employees and more updates.
Top 3 most popular are
Avast
AVG
Norton

EDIT: Oh and I recommend Advanced System Care 5, although some of it's business practices are not... agreeable, it is a great cleanup tool. CCLeaner and Auslogic's disc defrag are seperate tools that are better in their specific regards

I would suggest you to go for Comodo antivirus which is good in safeguarding pc from all kinds of internal and external malware attacks.
http://antivirus.comodo.com
Trend Micro is one of the worst antivirus solutions (Tested by AV-Comparatives), however if you are a regular user that only surf the internet and download not too risky files like images and music you can be fine, however if you want more protection i suggest you to switch to a solution like Avira or Avast (Free), however the best (for me) is Comodo Internet Security, while normal antivirus are focused in detect virus by their signature Comodo is focused in protect and block, the antivirus module is not the best but the virus directly can not run if you know a bit of computers

Normal Antivirus: Virus -> Real-Time Scan -> Behaviour Scan -> PC
In this example you can see that if the virus is crypted you can bypass a normal antivirus solution easily

Comodo: Virus -> Real-Time Scan -> Cloud Scan -> Behaviour Scan -> Auto-SandBox -> Defense+
Even if the virus bypass the antivirus and cloud scan, depending on the risk of the functions that it is trying to perform, it will be automatically SandBoxed and every action the virus wants to perform you can accept or deny it as it has an integrated HIPS (Defense+),

if you have a bit of knowledge in computers and how Windows SO works, i strongly suggest you to install Comodo Internet Security Suite or an Standlone Antivirus like Panda Cloud Antivirus + Comodo Firewall (but you will not have the Auto SandBox feature), as you are needing speed i suggest you to install the security suit, is lightweight and do not use too much system resources (uses less than TrendMicro)

I Hope this resolve your doubts

I am a VERY intensive pc user, I download A LOT and my pc is FILLED WITH software/programs and other shit..
I spend quite some hours behind me desktop daily..

I'll see when my AV expires & I will consider your advice.
Thanks again :)

Edit:

Can I use Comodo Firewall instead of the default firewall I have now? Will this be better?
Or does Comodo Internet Security already include the firewall?

Also, if I would switch to Comodo; Should I buy a full version or is the free version good enough?
Then something else:

Do you recommend 'Comodo Antivirus'? What's the difference between that and the internet security version?

Hopefully you can give me some answers, I will greatly appreciate it! :)

Yes, you can use Comodo Firewall insted of Windows one, that is the best thing you can do as Comodo Firewall is one (just because i do not want to say the best) of the best firewalls in the market, and it is free!, also Comodo Internet Security is the full package of Comodo Solutions, it includes Firewall, Defense+, Antivirus, SandBox and a lot of other features, you can also install Comodo Antivirus but it is not a good idea as i said before Comodo Antivirus lacks of protection because Comodo is more focused in block threats than in detect, not saying that is bad but is worst than other Antivirus solution, that is why if you are going to install Comodo you have 2 options:

1) Install a 3rd party Antivirus (Like Avast) and Comodo Firewall

2) Install Comodo Internet Security

I Strongly recommend you to install Comodo Internet Security FREE, as there are not many diferences in the free vs pro version, i do not suggest you the 1st option as it doesn't come with Auto SandBox (wich is fundamental part of the protection) and need more system resources than the 2nd option, however that is up to you, also do not forget to do weekly full scans with Comodo, MalwareBytes Antimalware and SuperAntispyware

If you have more questions feel free to PM me, i will be happy to help
And Remember, the best security software is the brain, always be informed and alert
