.Hack // SIGN
Title: .hack//SIGN
Genre: Drama
Company: Bee Train
Format: 26 Episodes
Dates: 4 Apr 2002 – 25 Sep 2002
Plot:
In the year 2007, a computer virus destroyed the very fabric of the internet. The year is now 2010 and everyone plays an MMORPG called “The World.” In an attempt to escape the realities of a cruel and destructive world, Tsukasa logs into “The World” for the first time. After Tsukasa’s initial login, however, mysterious occurrences begin in “The World”, such as unbeatable monsters, cat-like users, and a player who cannot logout.
Ok, so I have left this anime in my "will watch one day draw" I was cleaning my room and i found it so I was just like "why the fuck not?". SO i stuck it in my computer and turned it on. Now for those who do not know the hack sign series has been given much hate through out the anime/otaku community for it's really slow pace and it's over the top emo protagonist. But in all honesty This anime was not all that bad.
Pro's
Music: WOW, the music alone makes this anime. Very few anime have such a great soundtrack and a new track to go with every moment. It seems that every 2mins there is a new amazing song that makes this anime so much more interesting. i could sit hours on end and listen to the soundtrack without getting board.
Art: First of all, The art is amazing but the animation not so great. the art work is amazing and there are many good backgrounds however they are stand alone backgrounds with no animation. It would seem every thing in "the world" is at a stand still. However it is still amazing.
Originality: It really is one of those anime where you think the writers but some really tasty mushrooms and where let lose with some paper and a pencil. Nothing else can compare to this anime i mean really they must have been on something extra special.
Con's
Pacing: now as we all know this anime is S L O W. However where this turns most people of i like slow paced anime. it give you so much time to think things through making it so much more interesting then any old "charging my fire ball" anime
The emo kids: Main protagonist is way to emo, kinda make the douche from evongelion look like the spokesmen for happydays. But it really is not that bad.
