I'm normally against anime & shit, I normally hate it but today I decided to watch "Avatar: The Last Air-bender", watched like 3-4 episodes then I watched "The Legend Of Korra", got hooked to it and watched the full book in one day, now I have to wait till March 2013 for book 2, fuck.
Can someone suggest me some good anime shows, that aren't too old like Naruto, bleach, death note, etc because they have like 10000000 seasons, and I don't want to start all the way from the beginning because those shows are old, if the shows are new-ish and it has plenty of episodes then tell me.
what type of "noraml" shows do you watch? i can recomend quite a few, but what you will think of as good is entirely dependant on you're own tastes
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Its actually not even anime so you're still yet to watch one since you were 14 ;)
You should have finished avatar first.
Angel Beats would be my suggestion. Only 13 episodes, and it's on Netflix in English. It has a lot of action like Korra, but has a strong story as well.
As im nater said, Avatar and, by association, Korra, are not technically considered anime. It's an American animation inspired by anime, but anime is only created in Japan. Despite that fact, though, I loved both the series and I can't wait until the next Korra season comes out.
As for recommendations, one of my favorites would have to be Full Metal Panic. It's a mecha anime that has lots of action and a great story line to it. Or, on the flip side, you have an anime such as Clannad. The action is highly lacking, seeing as there is none, but the story line is absolutely beautiful and tear-jerking. There is lots of anime out there that isn't like Naruto or Bleach, it's just a matter of finding something that you like.

Have a look at code geass and death note. You said "that aren't too old like Naruto, bleach, death note, etc because they have like 100 seasons", but death note isn't a long series like naruto and bleach, it's only about 34 eps long. Code geass on the other hand is about 50 eps long.
im glad you are watching anime again i will see what i can recommend :)
avatar is not anime, you are an idiot if you think it is. it is western cartoon. as labelled when sold in japan. Please do not make this idiotic mistake

I'd recommend Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica as it's considered a masterpiece and it's very recent. It's pretty popular on /a/ and they have good tastes in anime. It's not too long either, only 12 episodes. Also you will think it looks too happy-go-lucky, but all that stops suddenly after the 3rd episode (I think) where the shit hits the fan.
if you want to try ecchi anime go look up KissXsis
if you want mainstream anime go to one piece
if you want new anime look for Sward art online

Sigh... Western cartoon is just the type of anime that it is. Again, anime just translates to animation in Japanese. Western cartoon is the type of anime (animation) that avatar is. It may be referred to as a Western cartoon more often than not because that's the specific type of anime that it is, but it's still an animation (anime).
At least that's what my friend who used to live in Japan says. Now she lives in Singapore, but she lived in Japan until she was like 13.
In america however, the term "anime" is completely different than the japanese "anime", as it has become just a slang term to define animation made in Japan.
If you're into ecchi, you can always try out To Love-Ru or Rosario + Vampire. (Pretty sure Rosario + Vampire is on Netflix)
If you're into space/astronomy, maybe try out Space Brothers. (Brand new anime too.)
If you want a sad anime that will probably make you cry, try out Clannad. (I cried.)
