Comparison: iphone 5 and Galaxy S3. / Part-1

If you're on this thread, the main reason you're reading this is probably because you're wondering: "Which one is better?"
The typical Joe would probably say the iPhone 5, while the typical Mark would say the GS3..but REALLY, which phone is more worth the money?

I live in a family of half and half. What this means that my moms side loves Apple, while my dads side loves Android. Which side am I on? Well, lets just say im in the middle. I've always wanted an Android, but im stuck with an iPhone4. And I've been in both worlds, and i love both. So, there's really no short end for me.

Long story short- Dad got GS3, mom got iPhone 5. And they're DYING to know which phone i want to get. So heck, i decided why not make a comparison with their phones? *This will be the first part of the thread.

-Most of the things you see are based on your opinion. There is NO better phone, because well-everyone thinks differently. I don't get why people fight over it. Opinion kills.

What I'll cover first is size.

Hmm.. size size size. One of the most important features in which people care about most. Its the first thing we see when looking at phones. Most people care about size because, well, depending on the size, it could make life easier. Some people think "the bigger the better", while others think "the smaller the easier"..but what IS worth the size of the phone? See for yourself, HF!

Okay.. no brainer for this one..the GS3 is DEFINITELY bigger. But hey, we have to give Apple some credit. The longer screen does help read text better, such as emails and all. The GS3 is excellent for watching videos, etc. So which applies to you more? Well, here's how I broke it down:
Do you tend to like your screen taller, or wider? Would you prefer going on Facebook on a wide screen or a tall screen? Would you want to go on HF with a wide screen, or tall screen?
See, what matters the most is your opinion. Whatever gets the most Vouches based on your opinion is most likely the one that's best for you.
I found that the iPhone 5 is more convenient for me when going on sites (I even went on HF on the iPhone5). Places such as Facebook and Twitter were easier to read also. With a taller screen, there was much more posts you can read in one scroll that the typical GS3 could not do. Good enough for you?
Here is my downside: I found that since the iPhone5 is taller, watching videos on that screen seems to be kinda offish. Jasmine, what the heck do you mean?!! Well, I feel that it would be much better with a wider screen-and here is where the SG3 wins when watching videos.
So if you play games, and watch videos a lot, the GS3 is probably a better size for you. However, if you text, and go on Facebook a lot, the IP5 is probably a better size for you.

Overall-
SG3= Wider screen, best for watching videos, playing apps, viewing pictures, etc.
Iphone5= Taller screen, best for reading emails, socializing on Facebook, reading posts, etc.
They are not similar at all when it comes to size, because one is taller and one is wider. However, when put side by side, the GS3 is still bigger...the iPhone 5 still needs some catching up, just by a litte tiny space.

*Something to consider-
The iPhone 5 was meant to be adjusted so that it is only needing one hand to use it. Meanwhile, the GS3 would probably be too wide. Most would say the Iphone 5 is much better--but hey, points for you if you have an advantage!

What feature am i gonna compare next? YOU decide! Just leave a reply below :)

I'm going by parts, so my overall thoughts would probably come to play last, after I cover all parts/features of both phones. Thanks for reading!
Pretty cool. I like big screens but they tire out my hand if I just use it with one hand. I've been addicted to my HTC One X lately and my right hand is becoming sore, so I've had to use my left hand. I think about 4.3" is perfect size for a phone.
I see. Its kinda hard to choose, because either way you're risking something. If you get a smaller screen that's easier to hold, you'll be left out with no big screen when watching videos, etc. However, if you get a big screen, you're gonna end up with sore hands.
I work in a cellphone store and I think s3 is better right now since there's root while jailbreak for iso6/i5 hasn't release yet.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
