I am getting an Error: File for password not found... the password file (pass.txt) ..

What is the command line that directs hydra to pass file..i am getting an Error: File for password not found... the password file (pass.txt) is directly on (C:) but the program does not read it.

This is the cmd line that i am using- hydra -l admin -P pass.txt -s 80 (i.p) http-get / then the error occurs. I am looking forward to know what mistake i am making. Thanks.
I don;t use it much but from Common Sense i see you did not mention your full directory of the pass.txt. So it should /home/hacker/pass.txt

I have tried this... hydra -l admin -P C:\pass.txt -o log.txt -s 80 (i.p) http-get / but still doesn't work.

Have you included the path to it though?

Like move it to desktop.

cd desktop

Then run hydra followed by your commands etc.

Hmm strange I would always point to the dir before calling the program like cd desktop then you will see c:\users\username\Desktop> then call your file and from desktop for running like hydra -l admin bla bla I havent got the program so I cannot go into detail on the exact path you need but locate it first in your desktop.

I think i might be using a wrong password file or something close to that that the hydra cant read.. if you come a cross any TUT's pass it on. Thanks Vip.
Im having the same problem and ive tryed puting it in diffrent directorys and changing the file from .txt to.lst but it still dosent work I also tryed using hydra-gtk to see if that changed anything but it did the same thing
The problem is that you use windows lol, but make a folder in C or whatever directory name it hydra or something, then you can put your passfile in there.

so start up cmd, then type cd c:\hydra then it should change to that folder, then startup hydra from there.
If you want more help pm me.
