Synopsis:

• When Okajima Rokuro (aka Rock) visits Southeast Asia carrying a top secret disk, he is kidnapped by pirates riding in the torpedo boat, Black Lagoon. Although he thought he would be rescued soon,
  the company actually abandons him, and sends mercenaries to retrieve the secret disk. He narrowly escapes with his life, but has nowhere to go. He gives up his name and past, and resolves to live as a member of the Black Lagoon. Now he must try and stay afloat among the ever-shifting politics of the criminal underworld.

There is actually a season three sorta , a 4-5 episode ova series called Robertas revenge if you end up wanting more

6 episodes in, and I still don't see any kind of romance. I think I'll just watch the first season because I hate dropping series, but that's it. I have no idea of how the show got a rating that high on MAL, but it's clearly not worth it in my opinion.

Black Lagoon isn't a romance.


It got a high rating on MAL because it's a really good action-packed thriller with a solid dub and a fantastic OVA.

Damn I loved that OVA.
