Right now as it stands, my crypted file and stub are 4/30. The runpe DLL I invoke is 2/30. Anyway, as the title of the thread says, should I release this source for people to learn from?! It's a simple runtime crypter with startup and an icon changer! Simple yes or no! Please don't troll my thread by the way people! Also, feel free to comment and discuss instead of just voting in the poll!

Yes and no.
"Yes" for those who can learn from your source = Good

"No" because releasing your crypter to the public will just make it detectable. You don't know who is downloading your crypter and for what purpose, for all you know they could be the ones who upload your crypter to the antivirus sites and it becomes no longer FUD = Bad

As much as I would like to have your crypter for my personal use, I would recommend against it. I think distributing your crypter and advertising it will ultimately be its downfall a lot faster.

I can never understand people who sell their crypters, bit of a catch 22. Hmmm, I'm getting some ideas....I will ponder on this further.

At protocol, my crypter isn't fud so it doesn't matter too much. Its current detetction like I said is 4/30. It was 2/30 but that ended quite awhile ago because of the way I invoke my runpe and other stuff. It's been nothing but a pain since and that's why I was thinking of releasing it. Just a guess of mine as well, I gave it to some firends of mine and I think they accidently uploaded it to the wrong site so I assume the detection rate is only going to climb, that's why I wanted to release it is so others can learn different methods besides eof. All the noobs seem to start with eof and I sorta wanted to change that...

NOTE: I have since changed my storage method since the detections and I still invoke the runpe the same way. I lost 3 detections since changing my storage, it was 7/30...

Ok I see your point XBLshun. Well in that case feel free to distribute. You sure you still don't wont to use it, still has a bit of life in it, 4/30 ain't that bad, you will still get some hits with that I'm sure. There's still a lot of people out there without AV and firewalls.

I would not release it until either it is fully FUD or many features that can top the others. Plus will cause many more people to use it to hack others...
