is VB2008 and VB.NET the same? I installed VB2008 in my computer because my brother said that VB2008 and VB.NET is the same. I just want to know if they are the same.

.Net is the framework on which vb runs on. Vb 2008 generally refers to the ide Visual basic express 2008 edition. Vb.net != vb2008 vb,net != vb2010
Vb.net generally refers to visual basic using the .net framework because an early version of vb, vb6, did not use the framework. Kind of choppy explanation I hope someone while explain it better.

thank you for the explanation. Now i know that vb.net != vb2008. Is VB.NET codes is similar to VB6 codes? Where can i download vb.net? :)

VB2008 is the IDE, VB.Net is the language itself.
