What Got Me To Watch It:
Now to be frank, I though this anime would plain blow and decided not to watch it for the longest time. Eventually out of pure boredom I decided to start the first few minutes of it and then without a second hesitation realized this anime was for me.

Summary:
Chiko is the daughter of the wealthy Mikamo family who has to live with her aunt and uncle after her parents passed away. Because her aunt wants to inherit the Mikamo family's wealth, she gives Chiko poisoned food. One day, however, she's kidnapped by the Nijuu Mensou or 20 Faces and decides to join his crew.

Characters: (9/10)
The characters in this anime are well done and have left deep impressions on me for how I judge characters. A few characters in this anime where just your generic bland characters, however the characters that were important actually have a uniqueness to them that I don't find in other animes. The characters are easy to get attached to and more importantly easy to connect with emotionally.

Animation: (7/10)
The animation for this series was done quite well, however the animation just made feel like it "could of been better" at most points throughout it.

Story: (9.5/10)
The Daughter of Twenty Faces is a story most can relate to, wishing to go somewhere far away from home. As this is the hardest part to do while not giving away spoilers, the story throughout this anime will keep you looking over your shoulder for whats next... You will find yourself absorbed into it so far you might just one night the series. Now compared to the novel this anime focuses on Chiko instead of Nijuu Mensou.

Enjoyment: (10/10)
This anime was one of my most enjoyable of all time animes. I found myself laughing, crying, and even getting angry along with the characters. This anime is one of the lost treasures of the anime world.

Overall: (9/10)
Overall I can honestly say I believe not a single soul who watches this anime will dislike it. This anime was well produced, executed greatly, and turned out as one of the few masterpieces in the large world we call anime. The characters won't dry you out and plot will keep awake through the night.

Hm, Seems like an interesting anime. I have not seen this before, but will consider watching this. Great review, always love the words that you choose to describe the anime to it's full potential. But the story seems like something you see a lot. An evil or jealous character is angry because they cant get what they want. So they take it out on who it is going to.

While I agree with most of what you say, you must not disregard the numerous flaws this series had. It's a good and very underappreciated anime, but far from perfect in my honest opinion.
