Well, me and Saobryn were thinking of starting a group for all those who want to learn C++ and have no idea where to start/are lazy to start by themselves/prefer listening to people teach better than reading eBooks. We would be the teachers.

The concept is simple, we will stream classes and after each class you'll get some materials in form of youtube videos/books/chapters/self-written tutorials. You will also get several tasks which you need to finish before the beginning of the next class. If you will have issues, you can contact both of us and we will explain each task if needed.

The classes would be held on Visual Studio 2010.
These classes will be completely free.
The only thing you need is free time and Skype, and willing to learn.
Slackers who won't work would be removed from the group. I know the difference between people who need more time to understand things and people who're lazy and don't want to work.
Classes would be held once or twice per week and would last around 10 weeks maximum, depending on the progress of the group. You would learn the basics of C++ and from there you can advance yourself.

What would you guys think? How many of you would be interested in this?

I'm really interested in learning C++

I'm assuming you will decide on the times suiting to the students needs?

It sounds like an interesting group that I'm sure a lot of people here will be interested in but are you accepting lazy or rejecting it? First part seems that you will accept lazy and last part seems like you will give lazy the boot.
Humorous stupidity. Post #27 and further...

I am very sorry for making this unclear.
The first part refers to people who are lazy to start learning on their own. I have edited this part.

The 2nd part refers to people who think learning a coding language is easy and they decrease the overall quality of the whole group with their low effort.

The times would be arranged to suit both me or Anakin and the person we are tutoring. The times can differ from day to day depending on our time and time of people we are helping. It's all by agreement.

No need to apologize. I was just curious. Thanks for clearing that up.

And how much experience do you both have working with this language? Those with less than two years of experience with the C++ programming language should not be teaching.

I'm very glad that we have a positive response about this.
If more people show interest, we will do our best to help members learn some C++ basics.

We have enough experience to teach but thank you for worrying about people on HF. 🤣

I wasn't at all worried about the members of this forum.

I would be interested in this, relatively new but I lurk a lot. More of an absorber of information, than a provider. Thank you.

Yea I'd like to participate in this. I've decent skill in C++ but I'd like to see your approach and learn something a bit differnt. Might also be able to contribute.

I use Eclipse but I don't think thats a big deal.

Your skill is far from decent. It's unlikely that you would be able to contribute anything.
