Storyline: 8/10

On Christmas Eve, 2029, the unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the "Lost Christmas" incident. An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.

Ten years later in 2039, Shu Ouma, a 17-year-old high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer of Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places before heading home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers another side of her: she is a member of The Undertakers, a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ.


The story was simply amazing when i watched Guilty crown for the first time. Everything is close to perfect when it comes to the storyline, however the storyline is only perfect on the first half. Personally i think it dropped and didn't hold the standard that the first half had, therefore i'll only give the Storyline a STRONG 8.

Animation: 10/10

Oh my god is the first words that comes to my mind when i think about it. The animation in Guilty crown is simply beautiful. The animation is clearly modern and there is pretty much nothing bad i can say about it. From characters to environment the animation is incredibly good in all ways. I can't even imagine how many hours were spent making this anime. There is so many details and it's clearly one of the best anime i've seen when it comes to animation.

Sound: 10/10

From the background sounds to the characters voices. It's all so good. The voices is perfect for the characters and the music used in in Guilty crown is incredibly well made. The opening and ending is incredible and i can't describe it in words. If sounds and music is something that you really need in a anime, then go watch this anime right now.

Characters: 8/10

The characters in Guilty Crown is good. The characters in this anime all got secrets, secrets that you'll get your mind blown when you reach the end. Personally i think there were too many secrets to be revealed when it came to the characters and i think that some of them didn't match the characters.

Overall: 9/10

Overall the anime is incredibly good and deserves a 9. It's one of my top rated anime. It may have some flaws but the animation, the sound and pretty much everything about it is incredible. I've watched the anime twice already and there will probably be a third time too. If you haven't seen it yet, i STRONGLY recommend this.

NOTE: If you enjoyed Code geass, then this is anime is definitely something you should check out.

I personally liked this show a lot as well. Yes, this show gets a lot of shit for some let's be honest good reasons, but if you're watching a show to review it of course you're going to look for certain things, and not think about how you actually feel or react towards the show and characters.

Great review, I thought it was great until,
Spoiler (Click to View)right after gai was "killed" that's when it got a little bad and started to bug me a bit because shu went a tad emo and pretty much gave up on his own life and didn't follow through with what he wanted and tried to be just like gai. but right after he had his arm sliced off/power taken it got better again and the ending was very good but sorta rushed.

I'm on episode 4 atm and let me tell you, I love it, but the story confuses the hell out of me. :P

I've heard the story is suppose to suck really bad from a lot fo different people? I haven't seen it, but there are a lot of people who's like the writing is so bad etc.

Although since I love everything, I might give a watch anyway.

The story falls off at the end. The start and mid part is good tho. I think that the animation and sound makes up for it tbh.
