And it will be here in Friday. The seller said the hard drive isn't wiped but they tried to set it back to factory defaults. My question is when I get it what should I check on it to make sure it's good and has no problems or anything? Can a HQ white hat look it over through teamviewer for me? Thx ppl

Thx ppl Do you have a copy of the OS you want? If so I usually dban the hard drive let it wipe a few times (not necessary), then i install a fresh install of the OS. Then I install the drivers and set recovery point. Mostly set after that.
Do what krew said, there is no limit on how many times you can use the XP disc as far as i know.
I would tell you how to get the drivers but I'm on my iPad and the last couple of steps are hazy (Jan 9, 2013 11:57 PM)sethwilliam Wrote: I have a windows XP disc but I have no idea what drivers ill need for the laptop or if the XP disc has a certain amount of uses as I've been using it on my desktop. Just get the drivers on the website of the products website. Dell has all their drivers in a little area. Stick it on a USB, then get slim drivers :) But dban it, or just pop in windows and hit format, the install :)

Just go to the Toshiba website click downloads and enter your pc model that you are buying.
Download all the drivers for it.

To be sure, download the drivers' installer on an USB disk or any kind of memory device (except for your HDD obviusly) prior to the system reinstall.
After you're done with reinstalling your OS, just install the drivers from there. ![]() (Jan 10, 2013 12:14 PM)Anakin™ Wrote: I'd personally recommend you to install a new copy of Windows (or whatever OS you want) and download the drivers afterwards.I would do this OP! what anakin said...Thanks anakin for writeing what i was going to write :) |
