This week's poll is all about location. Where do you prefer your anime to take place?

The question: Where is your favorite anime setting? Your choices:

• Urban - Fairly populated towns/cities. Ex. - Air TV, Toradora!, Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.

• Large cities - Mega cities full of skyscrapers and people. Ex. - Durarara!, Steins;Gate, Kokoro Connect.

• Rural/Countryside - Ranging from very small towns to the great wilderness. Ex. - Mashiroiro Symphony, Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo.

• Space - You know, that big place outside our atmosphere. Ex. - Cowboy Bebop, Gundam, Bodacious Space Pirates.

• Alternate Universe/Timeline - A place not known to us. Ex. - Zero no Tsukaima!, Fist of the North Star, Soul Eater.

My examples are not up for debate 🤫

There you have it guys, your 29th AA weekly poll!

Poll specs: Feel free to leave a comment saying why you picked the choice you did. Feel free to debate/flame/rate and hate. Poll is public and single choice only. Poll will close in 5 days.

HHmm hard to decide but ill go with Rural/Countryside .
That attracts me more then the other ones ;D

[Sensetive]

I voted for Urban because all my favorite anime take place there.

[Ballinn]

Ha ha I chose alternate timeline thinking about Zero no Tsukaima! because I am watching it now, and you had it in the description :)
I like the more supernatural aspect of alternate places I guess.

[Rakshasa]

I was expecting this subject to surface soon, following the timeline poll ^^

Now it's genuinely a difficult decision for me to choose between alternative universe or urban cities/towns. Too many strings attached.
Following my examples, for alternative there would be; Ergo Proxy, Fate/Zero, Gintama, Haibane Renmei, Kino no Tabi, Mushishi etc...
And for urban we have; Natsume Yuujinchou, Anohana, Gosick, Zetsubou Sensei etc...
Then of course there are so many that could refer to both, which never ceases to confuse me.. ;_;

Going with Alternative Universe for this one. Tough decision.

[Chubaca]

I love this types of poll and great work with the title. I picked Urban because I like towns small but not too small and big but not too big.

[Alexchaos]

I chose urban but I don't really have any preferences all that matters is if the story is good. :)

[Kakashi Hatakе]

I picked Rural/Countryside I like the fights in the wilderness.

[Happeh]

I can't choose. :c

I like the cities for dates and things... events.
I like the urban because it's more of a nice school feels, some houses etc.
And the countryside for travelling from one town to the other. (Or if people live out of town.) D:

[Eminent]

Yeah, this one was tough for me to pick. I don't actually have much preference at all with location.

Also, was that title a Demetri Martin reference?

[Fox]

I choose urban because I like it and most of the anime I watch take place in those settings.

[Hentai]

Didn't we already do this one? I swear I remember this one. I chose urban because I like there to be some people in the background sometime.

[Inori]

Still cant vote, but if I could id go with Alternate Universe/Timeline :P

[TheElo124]

i really love to see space anime but their isn't that much so its hard to come by

[KinGxKeV]

Rural/Countryside for me. Cause that's where I grew up 😉
