If this is the wrong section I am sorry, didn't know where to put it.

If I am scammed over skype, filing a report on here is useless right? I figured something like 'hf isn't responsible for what you do outside of hf'.

So if I do get scammed outside of HF, but somewhere else like skype, i'm assuming that hf can't take any action about it and i should leave it to paypal dispute team.

Am i correct?

Your correct all you get is others to see that they are scammers.

Hackforums isn't responsible for ANY deals period, whether its made on HF or skype. Make the report, scam reports are to warn other members.

if it's a skype discussion of an HF sale/service and you get scammed.. then you come here to report it.
but if it's got nothing to do with HF threads, then it's not an HF problem.

I got scammed through HF pm's and nothing even happened to the guy who did it. He has like 4-5 scam reports on him and isn't banned.

If you are scammed by an HF member over Skype, you can still report it via Deal Dispute to give a warning towards other members dealing with that user.

Deal Disputes Important Rules
1. HF will not be held responsible for deals made by members. All deals at your own risk.
Staff will not get involved.
