But I was thinking what stops me from getting scammed and how can I fortify myself from getting scammed?

A lot of people may try to scam you out. But it could work if you open up a line of service with them.

I'd just say do investments for % profits and make sure you deal with the right people who have their shit pulled together. Lending will just get you scammed. Specially on HF.
