I bought a Sidekick T Mobile from a seller on ebay. He got it shipped to me from the U.S here to India.
The problem is that when i put my Airtel or Vodafone sim in it. It says
" You must have a SIM card to use the network services
(Code : SIM1) "
However the seller said that it was unlocked. But i am unable to use it with my own sim cards. I searched a lot on how to unlock the sidekick mobile. But they all ask me to purchase some code which is 50$ or something which i do not want to.
I even asked a local mobile repair and unlocking shop in my area. He said he will take 40$ and it will take 2-3 days. I was sure that he has no idea of what he is talking about as he was weirdly saying that server may be down. I wonder servers of what.
Please can someone point me in the right direction. I am at it since 2 days but still unable to find a solution. Or maybe it seems i have wasted my money on this.
