Feedback
Once upon an end,
The Interests and Hacking paragraphs have little to do with the site. They led up to my registration and fueled me to pursue my online life, but nothing more. If you have a little time, feel free to read it. If not, just skip it.
Interests
As a student in middle school, there existed only two sources of entertainment to me. The first one would be skating. My parents bought me ~5 boards between the ages of 14-15. (For those of you that skate, you know that the pricing averages around 115-150 USD per board.) The second interest I had was malicious arts. It didn't matter what it was, as long as it gave me a kick or thrill out of it. It included running continuous batch files on all the school computers, cracking locks for money, selling gum for ridiculous prices, starting fights with people who I didn't like, calling people fat and gay even if it wasn't true, throwing fits at the administrators, trading pencils, driving teachers insane, making berry shooters and making about $20 for each sale, and I mustn't forget, the one that got me in the most trouble and probably the most immature, drawing sperm cells all over the desks in all of my classes. I wasn't a delinquent or a thug, but kids will be kids...I couldn't control anything I did. It seemed that I could not stay out of trouble how hard I tried. *So I stopped trying.
Hacking
The first introduction that I had to messing with a computer (which meant at the time anything out of the norm) was creating repeating batch files that would continuously pop up and in the end crashing the computer. It wasn't all that fun because it lacked the ability to create any real problems, but it was amusing to make those and just leave it running until someone needed to use the machine. I was still young, and I told my parents I wanted to be a hacker. They sort of looked at me and then 😑. That goal was suppressed for quite a while, and I never really got back into it until I went on to high school.
I believe it was some time around sophomore year (10th) grade when I got my own iPod Touch. It was a 2nd Generation and unfortunately I got the MC model. When I got it, I didn't know what to do with it. My friend prompted me to jailbreak it when he showed me that he could essentially do anything with his device...and so I did. I read up on tutorials everywhere on how to jailbreak my device, but of course I couldn't. After a week or two of my failed goal, though, the hacker Geohot made the jailbreak tool that many know as blackra1n. I jailbroke it, but it was tethered. It created more problems than I care to list (at the time), and I ended up as an unhappy camper.
Not too long after, I met another geek who decided to befriend me and introduced to me as Nick. At 15 or 16, he was a self proclaimed "coder". Anyways he taught me how to use my iDevice to capture packets sent through a network with pirni. It was my first accomplishment when I was able to capture my own packets with pirni and SSH the packets over to my computer to decrypt using Wireshark. Trouble arrived with Wireshark, though. I was a big mouthed gambler who decided to make a bet with another friend of mine known as Shane (for an untold amount). I told him I could capture everything and everyone's data in our Graphic Designs class. Naturally, he doubted me and I walked him through the process. He was astonished, but didn't pay because he was a cheap punk. The biggest regret in my career would probably be forgetting to remove Wireshark from the school's computer. The school hired IT, or hired whitehat happened to be scanning computers and found the program under my account on the computer. In short, I was done. All my computer privileges at the school were terminated and I was kicked out of the Graphic Designs class. My legacy, however, refused to die. Shane was a talkative one, and as gossips usually are, it didn't take long until half the campus was aware of what I've done. Yes, I got my recognition, but I wasn't proud. Back then, I was seriously upset over what I had done and the acknowledgment only brought me discomfort and uneasiness. Fast forward a year, I made friends with jaydeff who introduced me to RATs. He knew my experience about the incident, and he told me that he had infected 4-5 people on his RAT during the winter break. I asked him what the hell a RAT was, and he asked me if I browsed HackForums or any other hacking board. I shrugged and honestly told him that I didn't. He called me retarded and our friendship became a lot closer during the years. I was curious as there seemed to be a light in the doorway once again!
Registration
One does not simply hear about a site and continue to ignore the knowledge. I registered on HackForums and decided to learn a little bit about the furry little rodent that could infect machines. It was my first time on a "forum" and when I used the search feature, I was disappointed. I didn't directly looked into RATs, but instead I typed in virus. Not exactly what I wanted, but when I wanted to search RATs again, the search gave me a message to tell me to wait ~20 seconds. I thought to myself, "What in the hell!? Why do I have to wait?!?" My patience was running out and I decided that I hated the forum's layout. It was overwhelming for me and I didn't stay. I left the forum and forgot completely about it for 8 months or so. Stats : 0 posts, and probably 2 minutes online. After a while though, my computer got infected and became unusable. No one in my family had the ability to assist me so I had to ask someone at school for help. I met Style who reintroduced me to HackForums. I started to annoy the shit out of him everyday to bring a copy of DBAN and a Windows OS disk for me because he didn't seem to remember. I made an account here and decided that I'd give it another chance. For some reason, this time around, I found the forum captivating. I couldn't leave this time. I focused more on what I "liked". The best part about this forum which I still love today is the loading bar. This is what I mean.
![[Image: ii247WV.png]](https://i.imgur.com/ii247WV.png)
I'm not sure why that was so significant to me, but it really brought about a great experience. I registered as WelpedOffBird (nothing could possibly embarrass me more) and what it meant at the time as follows.
Username and L33T
Why did I choose that username?
Welp was the message you would get on JailbreakMe's site if your device couldn't be jailbroken. I played a lot of CounterStrike Portable at the time and my alias was always Pissed Off. I also entertained myself with Angry Birds a lot during my classes and I didn't want to leave the bird out. There we have one of the worst names one could ever imagine using. Style convinced me to upgrade to a VIP member on the site and I made sure that it was lifetime. I paid him in cash and he upgraded me to L33T the day I gave him the money. It was a really quick transaction and I think it was around the second day I joined the forum. I sure felt L33T. I then changed my name to WFB because it sounded better at the time. There was no apparent reason as to why I changed it, except perhaps impulse. No. WFB did not sit well with me. I thought I suddenly underwent a change which impaired all my cognitive behaviors. I changed that name because I didn't like it at all into Strychnine.213. (This would be my L33T username) This wasn't an attempt to become a hacker, but it was an attempt to grab any other name than my previous one. Strychnine.213 was an album done by the grind metal band Aborted. I really enjoyed that particular album and it was the first name that came to mind. After researching what Strychnine was, I thought the poison was pretty fitting for a name. I made a signature in Photoshop for it and wore it. Apparently, it was too big and I got my first warning not long after wearing it. (I later figured out it was xch4ng3 who had warned me.)
What's reputation?
I made a thread asking what reputation was. No one told me what it was on the thread, but someone had PM'd me. He didn't explain what it was, and he said, "Rep me, and I'll rep you." I didn't know the system worked at the time, and I said, "Sure". *I didn't even know how to give out reputation, but soon enough, I saw my reputation change to 1. I think I just left the guy hanging cause I was clueless on how to give reputation. :)
Ascension
I was posting everywhere on the forum that I pleased, and it was a great time killer. I got 7-8 reputation points in a few weeks and I discovered the iOS section! I told myself, "This is where I'm going to stay. I have found my paradise." I met D3xus and we made fast friends. He had an unofficial group called the iDevice Lovers who assisted members with all sorts of problems. I made the mistake and probably the only mistake I had ever made in the iOS section, unknowingly. I told some member that he could jailbreak 4.3.3 with Greenpois0n and I linked a fake YouTube video (which didn't even work). I had no idea, and I quickly apologized. The next day though, I received my first negative reputation. I was worried. 😯 I realized I had screwed up and made one of those apologizing threads that new members make when they get a negative. I got some sympathy reputation, and I got some hate. The one that got me was Wind's negative. It was, and I quote, "Just a retard". I wasn't particularly happy about that, but I revenged all my haters with a plus one in hopes that they would remove their negatives. That didn't happen. What could I do?! Wind told me via PM that if he saw improvement he would remove my reputation. I was grateful and he was true to his word. I thanked him and moved on. However, I just couldn't sit with 7 reputation points. I made several giveaways with eBooks, sexy wallpapers, and tutorials. Apparently the community loved that. I had gotten 21, and then 35 reputation points! I was ecstatic. I browsed around and noticed that my Group section only had one sub section...
![[Image: 9jOA2UN.png]](https://i.imgur.com/9jOA2UN.png) I went to my UserCP and saw the groups that were listed. The only appealing group that my eyes caught was the Black Knights. Fortunately, when I visited the recruitment and information section for groups, the Black Knights were recruiting!!! It wasn't long until I got accepted into the group. I made friends with Xypher, and Wolves upon entrance. (They were also leaders) I did group giveaways and soon, my reputation was rising. While I applied for the Black Knights I was also wondering about the Ub3r user group. My friend Style had told me only special members could get it, and I wasn't sure what that meant. I figured a bit more about it and gathered up my courage to PM Omniscient. I was accepted at 35 reputation, but I didn't actually get upgraded until I had like 65 reputation. Anyways, I PM'd a bunch of members to see who would upgrade me to Ub3r for an exchange of giveaway items and such. I PM'd the wrong member, though. OF ALL PEOPLE, I HAD TO, I HAD TO, I HAD TO PM eiqhtworks. You know what he said? He PM'd me back, "Donation begging is not allowed, reported." I was panicking now, and of course eiqhtworks left me a nice negative that had some irrelevant message on it. Believe it or not, eiqht was actually in the Black Knights with me. Lucky for me though, either eiqhtworks bluffed or the Staff didn't really care that particular day so no warning or ban came. Also, eiqhtworks is trigger happy with giving out negative reputation, so he removed mine in 15 minutes to give someone else a negative. I was really relieved. I thought he had accepted my apology, lol. 😊
But Ub3r was still ways off, and I didn't like that. I saw a contest that bugga was doing, and I joined. Sasori, who was Zitoku at the time, had promised me an upgrade, but something happened (it was said that some Indian charged back on him) and he didn't upgrade me. The contest he held was for Black Knights only. bugga, at the time, was doing her super waves of upgrades. She upgraded 5-7 members at a time, and I was included in the first wave of upgrades. I thanked her and changed my custom user title for a week thanking her for my upgrade. Oh, sweet revenge! I had 2 negatives on me at the time, and I gave my juicy revenge and one of them PM'd me to remove mine and he'd remove his. Only then did I realize that Ub3rs negatived L33Ts to avoid getting a revenge rep.
I met Morchid and Earthshaker (who changed his name to Enterprise) back in the Black Knights. Amp had taken control and made the system invite only with a Member Suggestion List in the sub forum. Enterprise got me invited into Reverence, and Techsperts at the time. Morchid helped me everywhere on the forum. I applied for the Wraiths and got accepted only after the fourth time. Hawkins had a strange way of greeting people. He PM'd me, "Wraiths Application", and the Subject had said, "Hey asshole! Don't tell me how you've done this and that for the Wraiths when you can't even follow simple directions. You need to apply via UserCP first, you big dumbass." I was pissed. Who did he think he was?! I did userbars for them and they had said they liked that. Although they never changed it, I was promised a spot in the group when I had PM'd Ally Mac. I was GOING to be aggressive, but the better half of me decided to just tell him the truth. I replied, "Sorry, I joined via UserCP the other 3 times I had applied, and I didn't think you guys even noticed." Three hours later I got a Welcome to the Wraiths PM and I was in. Hawkins had become my favorite leader on HackForums. In the Wraiths I also met this idiot who you may remember S70N3R. He negged me for stupidity after an argument we had about member quality on HF. I was dead wrong, and I knew it half way arguing with him. I totally deserved the negative I received, but he's still an idiot. He's also a meanie. I soon figured out that the Wraiths was a really special group that was ran different from any other groups on HF. We didn't focus on "quality", or "giveaways". The Wraiths were liberals and allowed anyone to say anything. Hawkins did have a pet peeve, though. It was not to discuss other group's in our lounge. A few members didn't heed the warning and were suspended from the group. No one really got "kicked" from the group. Several members received 48 hours suspensions and were allowed back in after the time had passed.
Disband
I logged in one day to find a group sticky in the Black Knights sub forum. Omniscient had had enough. Apparently, Amp wasn't doing a good enough job of our group and he was removed as leader and our group was to be disbanded within 48 hours. The members of the Round Table decided that we had to do something. Although, all attempts were futile, we still did our best. I later posted in the Wraith's lounge notifying them that there was a particular statement about the Black Knights that made me laugh. I didn't want to get suspended so I left an ambiguous message.
Hawkins PM'd me about the message that was in the Lounge and PM'd me. I replied and told him that Omni had made a fool out of Amp, and I sent him a video of it happening. Hawkins told me that I had done well, and I asked him what I did well. He said he was interested in "things like this", and I didn't know what he meant, but I got promoted in the Wraiths to a Nedu for sharing the video.
After this incident had passed, Omniscient decided that he wanted to either close all free groups or allow the leaders a final chance to purchase the groups at a low price of $500. Hawkins did not like this idea and announced the Wraiths migration. We moved to WizardForums where Stoner continues his idiocy and flaming. :) We're good friends. You guys can ask him on WizardForums.
I predict that Hawkins got really pissed off at Omniscient's decision because not long after the disband Hawkins got a ban with the reason, "I'm sick of your attitude." It was, I think, a 2 day ban.

Groups
Groups I've been in and short feedback.
TechSperts - Recognition
Reverence Thank you McFlurry for being my mentor in the Reverence divisions. You got me into the Reverence Graphics Divisions and I did my RHP everyday. :P
Root I was let in the group by Castle Bravo and it was when the group was rather active and professional. It was a nice stay and I stayed until the group's end. I can't say I enjoyed our parting days.
Black Knights I love you guys, and Xypher, pissing you off is hilarious! :P We had good times, though. We used to chat on TinyChat that one summer of the Black Knights. I met Hazurd and Simba who really assisted me towards graphics. Haz, also introduced me to Flashy. We had such times on Transformice. Then xerotic and the bunch helped me get my Halloween items. :D Thanks.
Wraith - We're on WizardForums. Although we had a great run here, it's not over.
143 - Daisy, still cool. You and mali were the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Oh, and Racutt too. (You're really generous, mate.)
Serenity - Dan, Mahdy, malichi, and Renowned were probably the closest I had as family in this group. I really loved the group and the run was long and decent. Thanks Dan, for being so chill.
Blackshades - Oh! This story. I got my first ban from Genuine because of this group. Everyone was kicked and Existence was re adding members and I started up a huge ruckus.
Va lo r - I got in this group because of the big Deal Dispute Darkwin made along with my thread that urged members to make DD against Existence. (Sorry for the trouble, Existence.)
Terror - I had a super nice run with you guys. Baked really works hard for this group, so don't think Terror is a bunch of lazy members. Baked keeps this group up and running everyday with all his hard work.
The Empire - Tibit, thanks for letting me in. You're a great friend, but I wanted to stay out of the drama you guys have been having.
Coders - Accepting everyone. Didn't really know you guys, but Hexi, you're very kind.
Propitious - Recognition
Rhythm - I met Daisy and Cody in this group. We made those lounges go at record speeds, didn't we? :D
Beacon - I stayed in the group only because I wanted to remain part of the family that we had in Serenity. It didn't work out, apparently. Everyone in this group really wanted to discuss Minecraft only topics.
Logic - Hexi, you're really sympathetic and you can actually see through members. You're a decent being.
Feedback
HackForums has a really big member base. Following that means the inability for me to accurately describe the average members. There are a lot of trolls, and dumb asses that wait for other members to post only to mess with them. These individuals need something better to do. I enjoy browsing this site everyday because of the threads that are posted with interesting content. Although some thread topics may seem preposterous, it's hilarious for some members to be creative and seem so real simultaneously. I assist members that are new to the forum, and I enjoy discussing various subjects. I look for arguments not to piss members off, but hope to gain insight on a subject or help others gain insight. People who I have argued with and hate me will never admit to this, but I really do it for the mutual improvement and elevation of the way we think. Stupidity cannot be helped sometimes, but I want to help you anyways. I'm just that altruistic. I get irritated when members PM me for money, reputation, vouches, and iOS help. For the iOS issues, I frequent that section. I won't overlook your thread considering that you put enough effort to fix it from the start. If you're really stuck, I will come and rescue you, but remember to work at it yourself first. I recommend you list out your solutions. It's really not that difficult, but all of you make it seem like such a task to help. I believe the reputation system is currently working at an optimal level. There are some flaws, but nothing that can't be individually dealt with. On the other hand, I look forward to the new system.
A message to Ub3rs - Stop negging L33Ts and Normal members because they can't neg back. If you're going to give out a negative, make sure it's for a good reason. I know a lot of members try to start shit, but the best solution is to ignore their attempts. To be honest, I know some Ub3rs feel like they're on top of everyone. If that's the case, then grow a pair and quit hiding behind the color of your name. Talk to the members you disagree with in a civil manner. Try to keep vulgarities out of your post. Everyone would prefer it, though, if we could all post in harmony. We don't have to be so hostile towards each other. A please and thank you wouldn't kill you. Being nice towards other members only allows room for friendship. I don't really care if you decided to take this to heart or not, but it might help you with human relations.
A message to L33Ts - You'll be Ub3r someday, if you're not permanently denied, so just be helpful to everyone around the community. Some Ub3rs will abuse their powers, so if you can't deal with a negative just try to gain other reputations to cover the previous one up. Given the circumstances that you are actually abused, you may report it. (Subject to change, soon) Once you give them a neutral, they have a reason to revenge rep you.
How I use reputation.
No one enjoys negative reputations, except perhaps Nyx. Negative reputations usually arrives attached with a negative comment with the intent to insult or devastate the opponent. I use it merely to let individuals know that they're being a sore asshole or being rude and unappreciative when you're helping them. When there is injustice, I can't seem to avoid evaluating the situation and I tend to determine which side is "right". There usually exists a right, and a wrong. There are other times when there is a misunderstanding of both parties, in which I urge them to work out peacefully.
Groups tend to possess similar qualities and objectives which often relate to the desire of making this community a better place for members. We can always improve, and we need the improvement so just let groups do what they do. Don't criticize them because you don't own one.
Bandwagons. This one is common throughout the forum. No matter what kind of thread it is, whether it be a deal dispute, a lounge post, a news and happenings, or even a thread in the SRPP, there tends to be an 80% of "I agree." "That's exactly what I was thinking." "OP is totally right". (...or the opposite) "I disagree." "OP, you're retarded." "OP, use the search bar." "OP suffers from a mental illness".
That's annoying, unnecessary, and low quality.
Quality
Many members here are extremely confused by the definition of low quality and high quality. It's really not an obscure distinction. Quality refers to many attributions an individual may possess. Attitude, behaviors, preconceptions, and the specific way that one uses language could be considered quality. High quality may follow the structure of what one would familiarize with terms such as esteemed, prestigious, or reputed. Low quality may follow the structure of what one would familiarize with terms such as, insubstantial, spam, lacking intelligence, or bullshit.
Staff
Everything an admin should be. Although there may be times when you lose your temper, everyone does. Just to be clear, though, you've never demonstrated any form of negative emotion towards me. Perhaps I'm lucky, or I just stay out of trouble. Either way, I appreciate the amount of work you've put into this forum. I believe that you've done a very solid job on moderating and upholding the standards of this forum. The activity is always ongoing and you manage to update the server for better member browsing experience.
![[Image: geyfDnI.png]](https://i.imgur.com/geyfDnI.png)
I don't even remember our first conversation. You're a superb staff. You've performed your job extremely well and you're deserving of staff. However, that's not even what sparks and fizzles for me about you. Your love for the iOS and your ethical preference is what makes me agree with you in all instances. You don't steal, cheat, pirate, or perform illicit activities. We both know how easy it is for one to obtain a cracked copy of (a) particular program(s), but I respect the fact that you keep you keep your head up and avoid those actions. I used to be an individual who didn't know any better, but we all learn some point in our lives. It's the decisions we make that may determine who we are. You had me choosing the correct path. Many members preach morality and ethics, but I never see their demonstration of it. You should be every members' role model. Also, there seems to be an ability to be sympathetic towards other members. You may not realize it, but I think through experience and gained knowledge, you have acquired a flexibility that really allows members to feel at ease. I'm starting to ramble, but I'm not near the finish...
Perhaps another time. :P
![[Image: pHWlrWp.png]](https://i.imgur.com/pHWlrWp.png)
You've been part of the staff team for quite some time. Although I don't know you all that well, I know you're just and mean well for the forum. I hear that you're a legit exchanger, and I hope you continue to provide your services to members all around.
![[Image: PamLZ16.png]](https://i.imgur.com/PamLZ16.png)
Hard to believe, but I knew you when you were an Ub3r. :) I was there when you were promoted to Staff and then an Admin, and I think you're work is unseen. You deserved to be more recognized. I've hard many great things about the smooth encounters of members who have lost their accounts. Keep doing what you're doing.
![[Image: Vg58zjD.png]](https://i.imgur.com/Vg58zjD.png)
We started off as great friends in the Black Knights and other groups. You were promoted to Staff and we remained friends. I know we've been through rocky edges, but you're still a decent Staff. I need to be fair and tell members to be extra good when they see you online, though. ;) You warn a lot, but that's only evidence that you're very meticulous at your job. Keep up the good work!
![[Image: nZygz6a.png]](https://i.imgur.com/nZygz6a.png)
Youngest addition to the Staff team. I applaud you. You once mentioned that you've always had faith towards me. Although I'm not religious or spiritual in any sense, I appreciate your warm regards towards me. You've always been of great assistance to me when everyone was against me. You saw through my actions and ultimately decided who I was a member instead of listening to other members. You have spectacular judgement. Kudos. I need to thank you in advance as you're probably going to be moving my thread out of the sub forum.
![[Image: oxZDCl4.png]](https://i.imgur.com/oxZDCl4.png)
We talked at several occasions and you're a cool individual as well. I especially love your avatar and signature at the moment. Yea, you know the one. Stay chill, and I hope when you get back you'll be rejuvenated from your vacation.
Marketers
This group has been nothing but support to me the day I joined. I know the community likes to think we're a bunch of scammers. That is not the case, and group rivalry tends to worsen such misconceptions. There's nothing that I can say at this point to make you think what actually happened. There was no scam, and there was no "rip off". The Marketers are a harmless group of entrepreneurs who are focused on improving the HF Marketplace and our personal goals. Scammers and inactive members are removed from our group and that's the way it's going to be.
Void
Void is really a group about intellectual discussions. The group isn't about giveaways nor does it have a qualitative approach. There is only one rule the way I see it. Become more educated than who you already are.
Moderation
I was super surprised when Omniscient PM'd me for moderation. I didn't see it coming, but I was glad when it did. I now moderate the Pet Peeve section and do my best to check every new thread everyday for posts that are inadequate. If you feel like there exists a post that I've missed, feel free to PM me. I junk posts that are spam, low quality, or breaking HF rules. So far, no complaints. Remember to always have a message of at least 35 characters when you post a picture of your pet or animal. Thanks.
My plans.
Originally, I was very confident that I would make it into MRT. That was not the case. Now, it's aimless. My plans are at an end for now.
Member Shout-outs
You know exactly who you are. Our relations are generally strong enough for you to be confident of our relationship. You don't need a list to make you feel special or honorable. Thanks for the interest, though. I know you were all dying for this part.
--
I suppose you were also looking forward for the members which I hold discontent for. That needs not to be public. You also know who you are, and I see no purpose in tarnishing your image. This is, afterall, a feedback thread, not an opportunity for me to bash on individuals who I personally detest.
Now go back and read the thread. .___.
...it's all...part of the plan!!!
You may be wondering what the title means. I shall leave that to you to figure out!
Very high quality feedback grin, nice work you have done here.

Awesome feedback, I got a kick out of reading the stuff that you mentioned when you first joined. As I went through the same thing and I know that most everyone has done this at one point or another, pretty funny that almost all have this similar experience when first dealing with joining and learning about reputation xD:

Affirmative. :)
It is a big deal for starter members, so I do not have a desire like some ub3rs, to pick on members that make a thread asking for help at the beginning. Yes, there is the Help Docs, but I doubt anyone reads that upon entering. It's a gradual process.
Wonderful feedback my old friend. I honestly have never seen the "TechSperts - Recognition" thread until now.
I'm quite surprised and very pleased.
You've been a great member of not only my groups but also Hackforums as a whole.
Keep up the great work bud.
Fantastic thread/feedback, seems like you went all out to make this.
Spent an hour reading...
Worth the time..
This is a long ass post and I have to congratulate you for your achievements.
This is a really nice feedback thread I didn't read every thing cause I am about to lay down and I feel real lazy right now but I will come back and finish the read later nice job Grin you should of added when you had your name stolen tho lol :)
This thread affected me alot. It's amazing how people start little, and go far!
Great job bud, it took me a while to read which I feel signified the work you put into it. I've never seen anything but good from you, keep up the good work. I look forward to the "plans" if it even concerns me 😉
