I just recently made a python code that will down(crash) any/most minecraft servers running in gui-mode.

Some people say that this tool is too over powered and I should keep it to myself and friends.

Should I release the code/program?? if minecraft developers find it it may get patched.

What do you think. Should I share the code with everyone?
Or should I preserve the code and keep it undercover?

Well that would suck if it would get patched. I guess try selling it for 2-3 members to decrease the chance of it getting patched. Make it a bit expensive too.

There are many other ways to crash a server, DDos, command spamming, and even glitching. If you want to generous by all means release it to the right people.

DDosing is unlikely to crash the server unless you use a custom tcp packet message; but it will prevent people joining the server due to the network being overloaded..., command spamming will never crash a server these days and glitches that occur that occur less now.. however I do know some that work.

This program only takes about 1-2 people doing that attack to down server. and it only sends about 50 packets per second.

You could sell it, but releasing it open source would make it become so saturated that they could patch it instantly; it'd be a waste of your time.

Sell 5-10 licenses to use it to high quality members.
