anyone got an idea why its been up and down so much? i've been averaging 1500 mh/s for 3 months now but some days it goes up to 4,000 then down to 800. very frustrating.

If your mining on slaves, then its normal. Users power down or detect your miner.

If your mining on your own rigs then i don't know.

Edit: Just looked at the news tab on BTC Guild and saw this:

A small change was made to the worker speed charts. The charts now update 11 minutes after the hour instead of 1 minute after the hour, in order to spread out the larger scripts. This is causing a drop to appear on the charts that is purely a display error, and is not representative of an actual drop in hash rate.
