Personal Rating So Far: 8/10
Just around today, the show Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi ( English Name: No God on Sunday) was released on the Nico Nico Stream, with fan groups releasing the recorded episodes on English Subs!
I've watched it just recently, and would like to get some discussion on here going 😉. This anime is currently being produced by the infamous studio Madhouse Studios, whom have released many anime's that have struck several audience in terms of emotional and character appeal. I'd have to say that this is one of their best works yet, especially if you have watched the first episode, or the PV. More to say, the graphics on the first episode and PV are truly amazing. The motion is fluid, the scene composition is great, and the ambiance fits well with the ongoing mood. As for the storyline, it seems to be unraveling in an way that will keep us interested weekly.
Alright, if you have not watched the first episode or do not wish to get spoiled, I recommend you leave this thread now 😅.
Episode 1: So here's a small question to start off the discussion, what exactly do you think about the case of Ai truly being a gravekeeper?

I like the chardesign, watched the first episode, there isn't really any progress, need the second one to make my opinion.
About your question, I don't really know but I think the guy will train her or things like that.
I watched a summer season "overview" and the PV seemed kinda interesting. I might check it out after a few episodes have aired if anyone says it's good.
BTW: Added to "AA Discussion Mega-Thread!"

I'm still at qualms about Kumazawa Yuuji directing this. My expectations are staying rock bottom.
Read what's been translated of the manga before, since the novels haven't been translated, and it seemed alright at a glimpse. Highly suspect it'll be ridden with plotholes later on, but what do I know..
As for the art, while it's beautiful and really fits the setting, I must say I truly dislike the character design. Seriously, she looks like your typical fucking loli. So much more loli than in the manga, and I thought topping that would be a challenge on it's own. Plus with Kumazawa at work I expect every interaction with any female in this series to play out like the shit that Oda Nobuna was.
But then again I still haven't watched the first episode. I'll give my verdict when I do.
I also saw the first episode left me with a lot of questions. Need to definitely see the 2nd episode asap.
I think it was pretty awesome, probably because I've read the manga and it's a bit better to understand when you do.
The manga is pretty awesome you should read it (Only 15 chapters A.T.M.)

Bumping for interest.
This anime is being really overshadowed by the hype of Attack on Titans and deserves more viewers and a better audience. Out of the 10(ish?) episodes out, I'm on the 3rd and already know its a hit, with an already super tear jerking moment. The art is great (except for the girls) and as Dark said, the ambience and atmosphere is great. Watch the first three episodes as they sort of introduce the idea of "No God on Sunday" and explains the story. Like a prequel arc.

Yeah the 3rd episode ending.. was holy shit. I'm on the 10th episode presently and the story as it is right now is amazing. I really agree that it is getting overshadowed by the hype of the more common-shounen anime's, and that this should definitely be considered a watch.
Considered an 8 to 9 out of 10 in terms of the whole anime for me so far.

Yeah, for me on the 5th episode right now it's easily looking like a 9/10. Needs some more viewers. And that 3rd episode, fuck, when:
She had to bury her dad after he lived another day to 'create memories', was that such a tear-jerker.
Is it just me who dislikes the art for the girls? I mean everything else is hype, awesome story, awesome intro/outro (best I've heard for awhile), great ambience and score. Good art, but the girls are waaay to moe for me. It's like they're picked from a slice-of-life and pasted in.
this is a really good anime <3 on my top 20 list
