I need to make this computer usable but cheap upgrade. Like really cheap this person only has 74 gb hard drive and only used almost half.
If any better way to get system specs plz tell me I would like to know.
Buy a new computer. That is outdated and an upgrade is not worth it.

This computer is only good for basic web browsing, and is not worth the upgrade.
Well the current problem is that the computer takes forever to do anything and is really slow.
Which computer do you guys recommend my dad only does ebay stuff.
By the way should I get a new wifi adapter the current one is Cisco-Linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G USB Adapter 2.4 GHz.
Thank you for your help.
If you upgrade anything you will have to update it all so it's not really an option.

Seeing as you were willing to upgrade CPUs, why not just build?
tell your dad that he will only get scammed 80% of the time on ebay when it comes to people selling systems
just build your own
Human stupidity : Buying something they have no clue about, and then ask if they wasted their money.

just build your own I might have said it wrong but let me clear this up. He sells motocross on ebay as a hobbie. He doesn't really know anything about computers.

Not sure what you're talking about but I might build but since it's his money he'd rather feel safe with an already built one then having me build it.

No not from that computer. That is the old Dell socket 478 motherboards. They used ATA drives all the way through lga 775 motherboards.
In short: Wont work.
