I need help installing a theme. I installed the .xml file, i uploaded all of the images in to the image directory. But when I go on the site the theme works, but the icons don't appear and some of them are even from my old theme, yet I deleted all of those.

Clear your cache or flush your dns.
You might have to change the urls in global.css, or you didn't make a directory from the themes images.

The directories are correct.

background-image: url(images/clean/icons/memberlist.gif)

That's one and I checked it and it's the correct file path and that is where the .gif is but it's not loading for some reason.

EDIT: got it to work. lol i flushed my dns before but it didn't work and I did it again and now it's working. Whatever.

I'm pretty sure you have to edit the global.css, or the .css file for the tabs.

I've created a custom profile field and I know there is a setting for limiting the maximum amount of characters. My question is, how would I go about limiting certain custom profile fields to a minimum amount of characters required? Thanks for the help!

I need to limit a users size for their signature, some users are making HUGE signatures and tht should not be allowed, please let me know how to do this, btw I have tried many tutorials but cant get it to work. thanks
