First Time using Adobe illustrator

So this was my first attempt in Adobe illustrator and my first time using the pen tool, I tried recreating the Backtrack logo using the pen tool and I know its rough but I think its still pretty good.

Looks like you used all straight lines... you can curve the lines by manipulating each anchor point.
I used some curved lines but I was getting frustrated with the pen tool XD, I'm working on it now to make it better

For some good practice try picking a random picture off the internet and rendering out something. It's what I did to practice with the pen tool. Then, once you get good at that, try using the image as a reference and not tracing it, so you can get an idea for curves and proportions, then compare it to the trace to see how close you got!
It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.
Great job i must say. But next time, try to curve the lines at the bends, other than that, you did great!
