All you need to do is to download the putty client.
You will also need to install whatever DOS script you want to run on your VPS. Step one: Download Putty. Step two: Download WinSCP. Step three: Download python through WinSCP with the 'yum install python' command. Step four: Drag your DOS Script to your root directory in your ftp manager (WinSCP) Step five: Make it so your permissions are 0777 Step Six: Login to putty with your VPS information type "perl NameofDOSScript ip, port, time". Ignore the commas above. (Aug 12, 2013 11:11 PM)Psilocin Wrote: For some reason, when I logged in via putty the first time it worked perfectly. Now it wont access for the username or even say "login as"It seems like its having trouble connecting to the server, make sure the IP and the port is correct. If you get it going and you havent gotten it set up yet, I'll do it for you.

Make sure you don't have a proxy setting enabled on putty. If you are running a VPN or have a firewall that could be messing with the connection I would disable them. His hosting company might be getting a ddos attack on that server .-, (Aug 12, 2013 11:26 PM)Daddy Wrote: I can help you with this, If you need any help still with anything PM me, If not hope someone solved your problem. Help with what? The original issue or the issue of finding out how much it hits out.

Thanks for the help, now I just need to know how much power this hits out Normally that would be determined by the bandwith upload speed of your VPS. Also throwing this out there, Most VPS hosting companies catch on to people using their Servers as DOS tools quite quickly. I would advise only doing it for learning or teaching situations only. If you can help out with the output of it hit me up thanks by the way for the help

If you can help out with the output of it hit me up Are you sure he owns the Servers himself or is he just leasing them. To actually own a server it would cost quite a bit of money to open the computers up. In there TOS they normally write that if anyone asked under the right circumstance of law they can disclose your information for safety reasons. I'm curious to see what it is. |
