How to remove MFT/MBR from USB flash drive?

Is there a way to get rid of the MFT or MBR (The stuff in the USB drive that can't be seen but still takes up a little space.. you know what I'm talking about) and make the usable disk space exactly same as the available space? Formatting doesn't remove them.

Also, do you think it's possible to hack a computer with USB that has hacked MFT/MBR? This way the malware in the USB will survive even if the USB gets formatted.
Gparted is my favorite way, but any disk partitioning software can do it. In gparted, select each partition and delete. The in the unused space right click and create new partition. Hit apply and you're done.
