C# Syntax or VB.NET Syntax?

Which one do you think is the best? (for you). I have started to like the C# Syntax more now and after my current vb program im gonna go to start with more C#

Here is the 32692649623946236403240ht thread about this dispute.... :))

Is up to you dude, if you feel more confident with a c based sintax, or you are planning to move on c/c++ one day (if you dont already come from that) or to any c based sintax language then go for c#.
VB is really evolved language in my opinion, and not deserve to be criticized by many that think is less "cool" couse c sintax is for haxorss, btw i would go with both...focusing more on one of two.

As for the possibilities that comes with...they are pretty the same.

Haha yea. sure VB is good like its not case sensetive like C# but C# is better in the syntax in my opinion one reason is that you can do WebClient WC = New WebClient; instead of dim bla as new webclient

There we go again, another "vb or c#" ....and christ if he would use a fkn "search" button, oh geezz no no....
I like C#s more, but I think VB's easier

Why would christ use a search button? He's dead ;) But in all seriousness, there are things with both syntax's that annoy the shit out of me, choosing between one or the other syntax in an 'absolute' sense I'm unable to do.

Same, I think VB is simple, and C# is organized

Does C# actually look like c++? I don't really think so... (Never really looked at c++ sooo)

How could you even make this statement if you never seen C++ before? Its like saying Dutch and Deutsch are the same because they have both a D, U and end with ch. But is this the same?

Good bye!

Je hebt toch ogen, of niet?
Du hast doch Augen im Kopf, oder?
You have eyes in your head, haven't you?

No Dutch and Deutsch aren't the same neither is C# and C++. They are both based on C style, like (old) Dutch and Deutsch have often the same grammar and couple words.

OP: I go for C# much cleaner to read imo. (I could explain my choice but well it goes like this, I say C# has things that VB.NET doesn't have. Some smart-ass says that they both get compiled to the same IL. I reply with it are different languages and assuming that you develop for Windows Machines, they get both compiled to MSIL. He says that: see you also state they are the same. I reply: No it are different languages just like Dutch English French Deutsch.. And the thread slowly dies.. It comes down to your own choice.)

EDIT: Added English translation :P
