After posting links to my video on 5 other videos and using other youtube accounts to thumbs it up, my video has been flagged, and removed. Was this a bad idea? Should i make a brand new channel now? My channel has a strike. Never experienced this, so would appreciate what you guys think. Thanks.

If you were advertising your vid on videos of the same niche, then that was expected.
If you want to stay safer just rely on ranking for your views.

Well if you took a video from someone else that could be whats wrong or you had something in the description.

I had no problem, until i went to the videos related to my niche, and linked it to my video. Then thumbed it up. It happened 5 hours afterwards. So is this a general bad idea to attempt to get traffic?
