PC randomly freezes and makes static sound

This has been a problem since I've bought this PC 2 years ago, it doesn't happen all the time so I always end up letting it it staying like this.

Basically the PC just freezes making a static sound (repeats over and over the same millisecond) if a sound is being played.
This is not a BSOF nor the PC shuts down, the image stays where it was while keyboard and mouse's lights go off and stays like this forever and doesn't unfreeze.
I don't know what under conditions this happens, I believe it's really random, doesn't just happen when using high resources or anything.

I've done several searches on this many times but never found the reason of it happening nor a solution, if anyone from here could help me I'd be extremely thankful.
Hmm. If this has been happening ever since you purchased the system, I highly doubt it to be a motherboard compatibility problem. I have heard of people having similar sounds when they used uncompatible motherboard.
Try updating your drivers using Iobit driver booster. You could have old or incompatible drivers.

Hope this helps!
When does this freezing occur?

I've encountered this many times and usually it has been graphics card's or some device's driver's issue.
First make sure graphics card ( if you have a discrete one), memory, and cables to drives are correctly plugged in.
Make sure you are using correct and up-do-date drivers.
I'm using up to date drivers and everythings well connected, it happens kinda randomly there isn't any criteria for it to happen (like when using a lot of resources or something).

Happens once every few days, can happen multiple times a day.
Try this it may fix your problem: Open your PC and change the HDD cable to another SATA port. I had a similar issue with another PC, and switching the ports solved the problem.

Will try this and post if it has worked, thanks for the tip.

EDIT:
Tought it had worked but nope, still happening.
Anyone else got any tips?
Sorry OP, sounds more of a hardware problem than a software problem.

I'd advise you open the case of the computer and look for anything that's loose or nearly about to loose connectivity with something its attached to.
Do you have a 3rd Party or a Integrated GPU?

What would that mean?

I have a NVidia GeForce 560 Ti.

That would be a 3rd-party GPU as it is a seperate component you purchased. An integrated one is also known as on-board GPU. For example most intel boards these days comes with an Intel HD onboard graphics.
Alright I would've gotten it if he said onboard.
But nope, it's not onboars, 3rd party, could it have something to do with the problem?
Have you ever tried installing real temp to check if its a thermal problem? I got this problem once and turns out that i have to change my thermal paste and clean my vid card and it worked for me.
Thanks to Link0207 for my L33T membership and devi01 for my Ub3r membership<3
I'm sure it's not the PSU temperature and everythig else seemed clear and doesn't real overheat much but I'll double check once I get home.
