[The Empire] How to make flawless panoramas in Photoshop.

Making panoramas in Photoshop couldn't be simpler, but in order for them to look good, you have to take the pictures right.

First, take a picture at the starting point of your panorama, then for the next picture, make sure include part of the first picture, so that they overlap. When you're merging the pictures, there will be empty spaces if you don't overlap them.

Example:

Ok, after you've properly taken your pictures and uploaded them, we can move into Photoshop.

All you have to do is go to File>Automate>Photomerge

Select browse and grab all the pictures you want to use (ctrl + click). I usually use auto mode, but if there is a specific way you want to merge the images, select that. The merging process takes time, so just be patient. After it finishes, you might get white lines that appear and disappear as you zoom. Don't worry about those, they aren't actually there. If there are empty spots on the edges, crop them out. Using a tripod will minimized this. Once it looks good, merge all the layers together and you're done!

Most recent one I've done:

It depends on the camera you have, but these are usually big files. The one above 11 mb and I lowered the quality. The highest quality is 28 mb. The entire image is 20 feet long.

Anyway, that's how to make beautiful panoramas in Photoshop. I hope you learned something and if anyone takes a good one, post it on this thread, I'd love to see it!
Thanks for sharing, it's really good :D
This will come for use for sure!

Thanks so much for the tutorial. 🙂
Glad you guys like it. I've been seeing more photography in the GFX section so I decided this would be helpful.
Thanks for the tutorial! Did try it with some pictures of my keyboard, did not work at all. Maybe I did something wrong?

I did however, try with just placing the pictures together myself.

It's probably the lighting and since you're so close to the keyboard, it would have to bend if you know what I mean. Basically the angle in which you're taking the picture is too different for Photoshop to recognize it.
Cheers for the tut! I've made a few panoramas before but theyve never worked out as well as yours. I think my lighting and not getting enough of the previous picture for it to blend is my main problem.

Ya, overlapping is the main aspect. The lighting can be off as long as the pictures are lined up well enough. In the panorama it will look weird though, simply because one side may be light and the other dark. You can fix this with an adjustment layer or a white brush + a new layer on overlay blending mode.
Wow, this is really nice. I remember hearing about this, but never could find a tutorial on it! Thanks for the share :)!
I like this tut...great thanks to the author
