As some of the people who are in complexity and fbn know I recently purchased a Nikon D3100 so I can further my passion for photography.
Here are a couple of the photos from my rainy day album and you can see the rest in my portfolio.

Good job on these BME. I'm also interested in photography. I might consider buying the Nikon D3100 or the Nikon D90. Almost a €300 difference, so not sure.

I put mine together for like $300 and I can't see myself getting anything really better for that price.
I really love the first one and the third one, great photographs BME.
Dang the pics look great, photography looks like a fun hobby if i see pictures like this.
My sister pretty much gave me her D3100 yesterday since she now has a better Nikon (not sure of the model) I can't get anything quite like this though. What lens are you using? Really nice photos. The first one is by far my favorite.

I bought the Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G lens. Pretty sure it is the standard one for this camera.

I'm having a bad time. xD I still need to learn some of the aspects of the camera since it isn't exactly as easy as turning it on and taking a picture. Maybe I'll post some stuff up if I find it up to par. Anyways, keep taking and posting more! 😉

Will do. Let me know if you have any questions or need some tips.
Photography just takes some practice.
What's with the Nikon's?
Canon DSLR's are much more professional.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Not trying to be a dick, but I have been into photography for a few years, and there's nothing special about your photos.
They are pretty much the standard amateur photographers shots. Try to get out, escape the yard, and photograph life, not a plant.
Sure megapixel + high detail of a closeup object can be nice, but the styles in your shots are so over done already, there's nothing that
sets these apart from any other novice dslr user.
Also, why are you using flash? And some of your photos are quite clearly under exposed.
Try to learn the true functions of shutter, aperture, and iso.
Good luck bud, photography can be such an amazing hobby :)
Bud these are nice! If you get a chance, get a humming bird. Those guys are beautiful!

lies lies lies. canons are the macs of cameras. less function.
I've always wanted to get into photography simply don't have money for a dslr/lens. When I went to PAX last month, I rented the D7100 for photos and really enjoyed taking pictures.
Great shots and can't wait for more!
i enjoy the quality of your images.
