Making a thread table of contents?

So I am wondering how to make a thread where I can make an index thing so I will be able to link to the section of my tutorial from the table of contents. I have seen it done but unsure as to how this is done. Thanks!
I'll explain it for you, lets say your Index section will look like this.
  • Tomato
  • Potato

You want to add a link to my profile for example, the mybb code should look like this
  • [url=https://hackforums.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=262695]Tomato[\url]
  • potato
    [\list]

Replace "\" with "/", I'll explain further if that wasn't clear.

You're only allowed to able to link to posts directly (click the little post number in the top right corner of each post [Image: GajJyrs.png]) so what you'll have to do is get each section of your thread in a separate post.

How, you may be asking, do you do that because when you post two times in a row it merges your posts together? Well you're going to need someone to 'hold' your spot by posting after you do. Then when you've gotten the number posts you've need for your thread, have them junk their posts. Your own posts won't merge and you'll be able to link to each one separately.

Make sure you already have your entire thread written prior to this and you know how many posts you're going to need. You'll also need to work fast to make sure that someone you don't want posting in your thread doesn't mess up and post in between your posts.

Thank you very much! - My question has been answered!
