1. Introduction~

Hello, and welcome to my jSpy R.A.T. tutorial. This tutorial is currently for version 0.0.1 of the program and this tutorial is for users running Linux, specifically Ubuntu 13.10, though this should be the same for all users on different version of Linux, Mac, or Windows.

2. Download~

Head over to the official jSpy website http://jstealth.co.uk/jspy/ and scroll down until you see this,

Spoiler (Click to View)

Download the file and extract it anywhere, for this tutorial I'll save it to my desktop. You do not need to extract the _MACOSX file, you only need the JSpy Release file, feel free to delete the _MACOSX file if you'd like.

3. Running~

After opening your extracted file you should see one file and one folder named libs and jSpy RAT.jar respectively.

Spoiler (Click to View)

Either double jSpy RAT.jar or right click and select Open With OpenJDK Java X Runtine (X will be different based on your installed java version).

If you get an error that looks something like this;

Spoiler (Click to View)

Then what you have to do is right click on jSpy RAT.jar and go to

Properties -> Permissions -> Check "Allow executing file as Program" and then click close.

Spoiler (Click to View)

You can now open the file by simply double clicking on it and the jSpy client will open up and it should look something like this;

4. Setting Up Your Server~

Head over to the Configuration tab and enter the port that you have opened, by default the port is 3175. Once you've entered your port (or if you opened port 3175 leave it as is) and click Update. You should get a message telling you that you are now listening to that port;

Spoiler (Click to View)

Next we need to head over to the Builder tab, you will see four different boxes that you can enter information in and they are as follows;

Identification - What you'd like to identify all bots that run this server as. Some examples can be, JDB, ewhore, test, etc.

IP/DNS - Enter either your IP or DNS that you'd like the bots to connect to. I'd recommend no-ip for this.

Port - Enter the port that you just set in the Configuration Tab

Save as - What you'd like to save the file as.

For this tutorial I am going to leave all fields as default.

You will also see a checkbox labelled Startup use this feature if you'd like the server to be added to startup. What this means is that whenever the PC that your server is installed on will automatically run your server on startup.

Note: This features currently does NOT work on Linux so I will not be enabling it.

Next just click Build Jar and head over to the folder your jSpy RAT.jar is located in and that will be your server to send to other people.

[color=white]Problem: Only works with local host(127.0.0.1), doesn't work with no-ip, "it just spams my logs with someone has tried to disconnect" until I close java in task manager.
[color=white]TV or PM help?: No clue what this means

TV means team viewer. Check your PM.
Tl;dr
the problem is that the only way you can connect is from local host and not no-ip/yourrealip

I've found the fix for the problem where you can'
t connect and all you get is "Someone has tried to disconnect"
When you portfoward choose "any" or "both"

Helped me get it working
Big vouch
Tested on Mac Lion and Mountain lion..

Not latest Java Update but quite up to date..

Executing Server on windows works fine --->all features working

Unfortunately executing (server.jar) on Mac just causes app icon to quickly pop up and close again..

--> for that victim no connection on Client End

Tried with java -jar in Console --> No ERROR MESSAGE ???

What APPLE OS were you running when executing server on Mac and what Java Version..

thx

You'll have to ask Zakary about Mac, he tested it and it was fine for him.
Thanks for the Tut. I will go and try it out.
