Just seen my first Anime film!

So it's called Grave of the Fireflies.

It's about 2 kids who have to fend for themselves when all the bombs are going of in the war. His sister (who is around 4) falls very ill and her brother must find food to give her to make her better. Both their parents die and it's a pretty sad film. What do others think about this?

Is their any more films like this?
2 kids... sister very ill... abandoned... war raging...
I thought it was Code Geass for a moment there.
This one anime film is also my first one :)
I have yet to watch it, can you tell me what the title of this anime

Grave of the Fireflies.

It's really good :)
Tip to anyone who didn't see it. You probably going to cry, so be prepared to weep like a little girl.

To me it is one of the best movies ever made. To put it in a couple of words, it is the best movie i don't want to watch again. The reason for that being, as i said already, it is really sad, but at the same times so good.

I don't know any anime movies which are similar to this one, but if you want to watch something of a similar quality watch any studio Ghibli film (they created "Grave of the Fireflies"). My recommendations would be to start from "Spited Away" or "Princess Mononoke". Also you shouldn't stop on just anime movies. They are plenty good anime shows that have very interesting stories to tell, so don't miss out.
Haha yeah, my girlfreind warned me about this film! I didn't mind it. Thanks, i've seen ghost in a shell before (briefly) I'm going to look into that.
