So I just finished watching this show and I have to say it was pretty bad. I've seen the average rating for this anime as 7/10 and after watching it, I don't know how people come to the conclusion of thinking this anime as good, never mind people rating it as a masterpiece. This anime got boring really fast for me, but I ended up just wanting to get it finished and it only ended up worse. The only thing I liked about this anime was the art, however I would rate it 4/10 overall. Anyone else seen this anime, your opinions?

Hm, id say it had a decent setting, some cliche but interesting characters, ok art, good VAs, but a bad plot.

The protagonist who goes against the established norm and gets put in an awkward position is overdone and while the characters were interesting as I said their individual personalities were too easily separated into categories like "tsundere", "straight-laced", "pushy-childhood-friend", and don't even get me started on the "I hate you, you did something cool, marry me" -type.

They really could've made it good with the ending to the original IS, but alas, they didn't. They chose to completely ignore it. I was just glad to finish it to be honest.

It's in my top 5 of worse shows. So predictable, so generic, so not-refreshing. It was hard for me to even finish the show. Each episode was pretty much all the girls fawn over MC, then something bad happens then incompetent MC somehow saves highly competent girls from danger.

IS was fanservice since ep 1. I felt the second season was a bit more interesting though.

Exactly. Like what do you expect from this? It's like a comedy type harem? Seriously look at the tags on MAL. If you expected some sort of Death Note type plot you're clearly mistaken on what this series is about.
