Thanks to Gladly for the massive thread layout!! (^o^) MAL
Synopsis
"Shirou Emiya lost his parents in a fire when he was young and was later adopted by a sorceror by the name of Kiritsugu Emiya. Although he was full of admiration for his adopted father and yearns to become an ally of justice, Shirou has limited powers and was unable to become a strong sorceror like his father. That is until one fateful day, he was drawn into the Holy Grail War and had to summon a female "Servant" known as Saber in order to protect himself. It turns out that the Holy Grail War involves a series of battles among powerful sorcerors to fight for the possession of a relic that will grant one's wishes, the Holy Grail. There are altogether seven "Masters" who can summon their respective "Servants" from different classes known as Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster and Assasin. These "Servants" have to hide their names in order not to reveal their weaknesses to the enemies. The story revolves around Shirou and his entanglement in the Holy Grail War. (Source: ANN)"
Should you watch?
Yes.
Why won't you shut up about this show, Gladly?
I'm a big Type Moon fan, a big studio Ufotable fan, and a big Fate series fan. When you mix all three, I'm bound to get pretty hyped. This is the franchise's chance to fix their previous Fate/Stay Night adaptation, and make people more openly able to recommend Fate/Stay Night before watching Fate/Zero. Before, many have said "don't bother watching F/SN, and hopefully, that will no longer be the case (if this turns out to be shit, oh boy). If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then good, you're not a total weaboo.

Where can I watch this?
The only place you can (legally) stream it is on Crunchyroll, by clicking here. I'll let you guys find your own ways of watching it.
Edit: also watchable on Hulu, thanks Dragon for the info (I'll ads a link later).

Quote:The ninth volume of Kadokawa's Type-Moon Ace magazine is announcing on Thursday that the new Fate/stay night anime animated by ufotable will begin airing on Japanese television this fall. Takahiro Miura (Fate/Zero, The Garden of Sinners episode director) will direct the anime, while Atsushi Ikariya, Tomonori Sudou, and Hisayuki Tabata will be adapting Takashi Takeuchi's original character designs.
Animation studio ufotable's founder Hikaru Kondo announced last July that ufotable will produce a new Fate/stay night project. Kondo did not specify the format that the new project will take, nor did he specify if the project would be a remake.
Studio DEEN previously animated the Fate/stay night television anime series in 2006. The studio also produced the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works film in 2010, which covered The Unlimited Blade Works storyline from Type-Moon's game franchise.
Sentai Filmworks released both the television anime series and the film in North America. Funimation had released the television series before that in 2009. Tokyopop published 11 volumes of Datto Nishiwaki's manga version in North America before its North American branch shut down in May 2011.
The studio ufotable previously animated the Fate/Zero prequel television anime series that was based on Gen Urobuchi and Type-Moon's novel. Aniplex of America released that series in North America on Blu-ray Disc, and the company then reissued the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc with an English dub.

Really, I don't know wether I should watch them. I heard that this Gilgamesh guy is pretty awesome.
When this remake comes out, I am willing to bet the F/SN -F/Z series is going to be a staple in every serious anime watchers library.
I was going to make a thread about this, but forgot to :3
I can't wait! F/Z imo was nearly a perfect show (maybe losing a couple points on the ending), and if ufotable can pull off the same thing with the F/SN remake, then it will be huge. That being said though, I hope they don't copy exactly what they did before, and instead try to improve/innovate.
It's hard to get someone to watch F/SN now (which is pretty bad in comparison to F/Z) and then F/Z so that the story is layed out in the way that was meant, promising that it will be worth it.

From what I've read, it is rumored that the remake will be the Heavens Feel arc of the visual novel. Although this means the remake will be kind of different from the original, there is no way the remake won't be an improvement.

Made a thread about this around the time it was first announced. Funny how people suddenly got all hyped, no one gave a fuck before.

People who saw the original PV on the Mirai Fukuin premiere back in July claimed the probability of it being Heaven's Feel this time was high, though whether it being something specific in the PV that made them think so or merely the fact that Heaven's Feel is the only route that hasn't been animated isn't clear. That's all there is to the rumor, nothing has been confirmed and it could as well be a remake.
Heaven's Feel was the worst route out of the three in my opinion and I'm fairly sure most people can agree with me on that, so if I could choose I'd make them do Saber again. Would be nice if they'd stick to the main plot that FZ follows after, so that people could just watch this instead of the 2006 version. But I'll be happy with whatever they throw at me.
By the way, I highly doubt that trailer is official. Seems like mostly recycled footage from FZ and the Vita trailers for FSN.
