How to test your DarkComet

---

Note: Take off any password on your DarkComet Client.



- This will be a tutorial on how to test if your DarkComet is fully set up correctly, without needing a few test installs! -

What you'll need:

• http://3nterman234.us.to:25567/testdarkcomet.html
  
• http://whatsmyip.org/
  
• Optional: NoIP

First, go to WhatsMyIp, and copy this number at the top:

Second, go to my website:

---

---

Now enter the number you've copied from WhatsMyIP into the 'IP:' field.


Then enter the port that your DarkComet client is listening to in the 'Port:' field.


and click 'Send'.

It's as simple as that!

Now you'll be sent 1-3 "fake slaves", and if they send correctly, your DarkComet is set up and working. If not, it should display 'Failed.' on the site.

An 'Anubis-like' testing center may be added to the site later, where you can upload your crypted files without having to worry about distribution. It'll upload it to a test machine, run it, and then reset.

Sorry for the downtime everyone, the server is acting glitchy when certain connections are made. I'm trying to investigate it now.

Thats mostly the reason I coded this, to stop 'test slaves' from being 99% of the posts here.

I know we've been having troubles with lag, if you do have a problem, please do message me on Skype. Sometimes I'm unaware of the problems and can't fix them if there is noone telling me 🙂

I'm trying to work on it, I believe I know the problem, it's just how to fix it.

When my server tries to send fake slaves, it holds, making the website believe that the server is down 😟
