Mahou Sensou (Magical Warfare) is a new series currently airing in the Winter 2014 season. Here's some information about it for those who have yet to hear of it:

Mahou Sensou 「魔法戦争」

Synopsis:

In this modern magic action story, Takeshi Nanase is an ordinary high school boy who has a somewhat dark past. Due to certain circumstances, he formed a "fake" couple with his childhood friend Kurumi Isoshima, but otherwise, he lives a normal life. However, one day, he comes across a girl named Mui Aiba, in a uniform he has never seen before, collapsed on the school campus. This encounters changes Takeshi's destiny completely. Mui tells Takeshi that she is a magician, and she apologizes, for she turned Takeshi into a magician, too. What Takeshi once knew as one world is actually two—the world where magicians live and the world where humans live.

For those who have seen the first episode, what were your thoughts? I personally felt a similar vibe to Strike the Blood (cute girls everywhere that can use magic yay).

Sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check it out.

First episode I found very boring, nothing exciting happened. I may watch more to see if it gets any better.

The first episode actually disappointed me.
I had read the manga (It's based on a light novel), and they pulled off the start much better in the manga.
It seems like the anime might not follow the light novel plot that well. (I hate it when animes don't follow the plot from the novel, because, usually the novel plot is better than the anime one.)
And here I was, being all excited for Mahou Sensou, I'll give it another two episodes, if it doesn't get any better after that, I'll be dropping it. (Which would be a shame, so I'm going to hope some exciting stuff is actually going to happen.)

Miu looks cute. I'll try this one out, haven't seen a good anime in such a long time, not counting the anime I rewatched recently.

[Azsry]

Yeah not much happened in the first episode. I'm hoping it gets a bit quicker and the first episode was dedicated to creating the atmosphere. If that's the case, I'm fine with it.

I watched the first episode yesterday, and it seems like the anime will be quite good. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

Second episode came out and they were introduced to the school. Still relatively slow for pace, but I'm still going to watch it since the magic seems pretty interesting.

[Dragon.]

I do want to try watching this. I'll check it out later today. Thanks OP! :D

I actually really like this series, and I am looking so much forward to the next couple of episodes, especially what episode 2 is trying to tell!
I can really recommend this if you like the magic genre.

[Dark Neko]

Its a Madhouse anime, I was definitely going to watch it. It looks interesting so far can't wait for more episodes.

Wow I had to go back to find this thread. Sorry for gravedigging

The show is starting to get a lot more interesting in the past few episodes, and definitely more enjoyable.
